Betty meets with Evan and he says he likes her family. Betty then freezes as Matt walks in with Amanda. Amanda waves to Betty and Evan asks who they are. Betty briefly tells him about the situation. Matt is distracted by Betty, but tells Amanda he wants to stay. Hilda confronts Matt about being on a date with Amanda, then tells him Betty is on a date too. Meanwhile, Betty is able to convince Evan to give her his story. Hilda waves Betty down and tells her she told Matt she was on a date too. Hilda suggests she rub Evan in Matt's face, but Betty says she needs to stay focused.

Daniel and Natalie talk about their coping methods. She confesses that her coping methods are usually illegal. Daniel tells her how he and his brother used to sneak into other people's pools at night.

Betty is distracted by Matt and Amanda and ends up knocking a plate of steak on a customer. Hilda asks if she can get a picture of Betty and Evan. She makes them sit close and Matt watches them. Betty then watches as Matt helps Amanda get an eyelash out of her eye.

Wilhelmina calls Marc and tells him she couldn't find Connor. She then hangs up her phone and finds Connor in her apartment. Connor tells her he knows she is planning on blackmailing him. She tells him he left her with nothing. He says he did it for her, asks her to run away with him and gives her a kiss.

Daniel and Natalie sneak into someone's pool. He tells her he isn't ready for a relationship. She tells him her boyfriend OD'd 2 months ago and assures him she isn't interested in a relationship either.

Matt and Betty overact while they feign interest in their 'dates'. Evan tells Betty their meeting is over and tells her to find out what is going on with Matt. Betty confronts Matt and Amanda. Matt scolds Betty for dating someone else. Amanda gets upset at Matt for using her to get back at Betty and leaves. Matt and Betty fight and Hilda makes them take it to the back. Betty tells him she was in an important meeting. She says he is ruining her chances at Mode. He tells her he knows he is ruining things for her and their changes of getting back together, but he can't help it.

Matt brings Amanda a cookie and apologizes. He asks if she would still consider helping him learn about the fashion industry. He tells her she is a smart, talented lady and should be treated like one.

Daniel tells Natalie he wishes he could have said goodbye to Molly. Natalie tells him to talk to Molly now, but Daniel says he can't. Natalie asks Molly if Daniel was a wuss when she knew him and Daniel agrees to talk to her. Daniel says he needs to stop being angry and says he wanted to make sure she knew he cared about her.

Betty goes to Amanda's place and apologizes. Amanda says she only went out with Matt because Marc told her it would be good for her job. Betty realizes Marc set them both up. Betty tells Amanda she doesn't know what to do about Matt. She says she saw the nice Matt that she fell in love with tonight. Amanda looks at her cookie and tells Betty to move on.

Marc asks Betty about her dinner meeting. Betty says it went badly and she knows the role he played in ruining her night. Amanda then finds Marc and slaps him for using her. Marc goes to Wilhelmina and welcomes her home. Marc tells her about his plan's success and she tells him scheming is a lonely business.

Daniel and Claire ask Betty about her meeting. She says she tried to suppress her feelings for Matt and failed. Betty then watches as Matt replaces her bean bag chair with a real chair.
