Betty asks Matt to talk about their relationship, but he ignores her. She then tries to talk to Marc, but he ignores her too. Betty finds Amanda in the closet and she congratulates Betty on her promotion. Betty asks if she wants to get lunch. Amanda says she can't let Marc see them together since he hates her. Marc walks in and Amanda calls Betty a troll. Marc snaps a picture of Betty and he and Amanda take off. Betty tries to relax in the sauna and runs into Wilhelmina. Betty confesses she has had a rough day. Wilhelmina tells Betty that being an editor is war and she will face many enemies. Wilhelmina then mocks her for suggesting a piece on malaria. Betty asks for pointers. Wilhelmina tells her to look out for herself or be eaten alive.

Betty and her family make muffins for her to bring to her new co-workers. Hilda asks Betty if she is trying to get back together with Matt. Justin walks in and everyone cheers. They ask him about school, but he quickly heads off to his room.

Claire and Hartley meet with Wilhelmina and ask her to stay with the company. Wilhelmina is shocked, but agrees to stay.

Betty hands out muffins at work. Betty tries again to get Matt to talk to her, but he says not at work. Justin arrives at Mode and asks Marc for advice. Betty sees the two talking and asks Marc what Justin wanted. Marc shoves a muffin in his mouth, but has an allergic reaction to the walnuts in them. Betty calls Hilda and tells her Justin was there, but she doesn't know why.

Betty goes to Daniel's office. Claire tells her she misses Daniel too. Betty tells Claire she will be fine if she can just find some allies. Claire gives her a high five for putting Marc in the hospital. Claire then tells Betty she needs to find a way to get Matt to remember his feelings for her.

Betty finds Matt running in the park and forces him to talk to her. He tells her he no longer has feelings for her. She then grabs him and gives him a kiss. He pushes her away and she tells him she thinks he is just trying to hurt her. She apologizes again for being with Henry, but he says there is no going back.

Hilda asks Justin why he was at Mode. Justin lies about ruining a shirt with dressing and needing help to clean it up. Hilda tells him he could have talked to her.

Wilhelmina scolds Marc for being in the hospital instead of at work. She tells him that Claire and Hartley asked her to stay, but she suspects it is only temporary. Wilhelmina's phone rings and Marc answers. She grabs it away and he asks why her home number is calling her.

Marc tells Amanda that Wilhelmina is lying to him. Marc realizes that Wilhelmina is acting the same way she did when she was dating Connor and suspects she is hiding him in her apartment.
