Sure, Ugly Betty is really a comedy about how beauty is only skin deep and how beautiful people can be ugly on the inside, but you know you love watching it to see all the fashionistas spewing ugly truths and insults.

The show centers around the offices of Mode fashion magazine, and Ugly Betty struts its stuff to make the catwalk catty. So even while we're rooting for underdog Betty Suarez to speak her heart and to shine like her gleaming braces, we're sort of waiting for her to get shot down by the sassy counterfire from her foils, Marc St. James and Amanda Tanen Sommers (Michael Urie and Becki Newton). And then there's the power struggle between Mode muckety-mucks Wilhelmina Slater and Daniel Meade (Vanessa Williams and Eric Mabius) that adds to the cutthroat couture.

The third season premiere of Ugly Betty aired tonight on ABC. When we last left Betty, she was trying to choose between Henry and Gio.

Betty gets a new job, Hilda tells Betty the truth, Daniel has an issue with his son, and someone guts pushed down a flight of stairs.

Everyone's a suspect in pushing Christina down the stairs.

Gio's back, Daniel finds out the truth about DJ, Wilhelmina makes a major acquisition, and Alexis is in jail.

Justin has a Broadway audition, Wilhelmina and Daniel have dates, and Betty hires Kimmie (Lindsay Lohan).

Betty and Kimmie (Lindsay Lohan) are told to work together on an important photo shoot and Wilhelmina and Daniel are told by Claire to hire a CFO for Meade Publishing.

Betty crush on Jesse is now full blown and she tries to find ways to spend time alone with him. Betty is also in charge of the music for the Mode party and thinks she might be able to use that to ask Jesse out. Wilhelmina, Connor, and Daniel try to work together and find themselves in a sticky situation.

All the editors for Meade publications are sent to a retreat in the woods, leaving Betty behind to give the final approval on the Mode issue before it hits the shelves.

Marc and Betty are both trying to get into the same program and Wilhelmina tries to work her magic on Connor.

Betty find her money situation tight and takes a job with Amanda for extra cash.

It's Betty's first day at YETI and while trying to make new contacts, she finds herself having to chose between her career and her family. Nikki Blonsky and Bernadette Peters guest star.

Betty and Hilda disagree on how to care for their dad.

Betty searches for a new roommate for Amanda while Connor searches for Molly's new boyfriend.

Betty and Hilda find out their father has a romantic interest.

It's fashion week at Mode and Betty is paired with another writer at YETI.

Betty makes a shocking discovery about Meade Publication's finances.

Betty and her family struggle to find a way to buy their house while Daniel and Wilhelmina try to save the company.

Wilhelmina employs drastic measures to save the company and Betty meets Matt's mom.
