Rebecca tells Rena that she sees how Andy looks at her. She tells Rena that life is too short to not be with him.

Miranda tells Sophia how she broke the doctor's nose. Sophia says Boyle is rapidly becoming weaker.

Andy starts to operate on Phillip, but his catheter is irritating him. The other doctors tell him to back off, but he successfully inserts a stent. After Pam injects a dye, they see that there are no leaks.

Sophia goes to Boyle whose monitor is beeping. Boyle says he put his faith in Miranda's father, but he died. Boyle says he misses him then realizes that Sophia loved him.

Andy updates Rebecca on Phillip's progress. He says the stent is in, but he doesn't know how he is going to do for a few days. Sophia walks in and says Phillip is crashing. In the operating room, Andy decides to cut into Phillip even though he might bleed out. Andy sees Phillip's chest is full of blood. He finds a cut and decides to patch up Phillip with stiches and fibirin glue.

At West Virginia, the procurement doctor informs Miranda he made a mistake and the liver is hers. The doctor with a broken nose tells Miranda he is going to send her the bill to fix his face.

Andy informs Rebecca that Phillip is going to be fine. Miranda arrives at the hospital with Boyle's new liver. In the operating room, Boyle announces that Sophia loved Miranda's dad. Sophia explains Boyle is talking nonsense since he is sedated.

Andy and Rena meet outside the hospital. Rena says she doesn't think the councillor will help their relationship. She says he is a life saving doctor and nothing should be more important than that. Rena explains she is busy being a detective. Andy asks her if the problem is that he doesn't want kids and she says it is. Rena kisses Andy goodnight then leaves.

Sophia tells Andy he made the decisions in his choice of operations he performed. Pam tells Andy it was good to see Rena because she missed her.

The next day, Boyle wakes up and finds David waiting at his bedside. He tells Boyle the transplant went well and he is going to live a long life. Boyle notices flowers in the room and David admits he bought them for him. Boyle apologizes to David for underestimating him. He tells David he is full of substance and grace. Andy wakes up in his hotel room after Kuol starts to play Rock Band. Andy suggests he play at the hospital, but he says he doesn't want to be alone.
