Damon and Stefan play darts. Damon tells Stefan he knows he is trying to use reverse psychology by being nice to him. Stefan asks him what he is up to.

Caroline tells Bonnie that she doesn't believe in the supernatural. She says that since she considers her one of her best friends, she will believe. Caroline gives Bonnie her necklace back. Caroline has the idea of having a seance, but Bonnie says she doesn't think it is a good idea. They dim the lights and hold hands. Caroline instructs them to close their eyes while they call out to Emily. The window blows open just before Bonnie tosses the necklace near the candles that blow out. After Elena flips on the lights, they notice the necklace is gone.

Stefan plays football with Damon in the middle of the field. Stefan explains he is bonding with him. Damon launches the ball, races to catch it, but is tackled by Stefan. Damon asks Stefan what he wants. Stefan says their love for Katherine was not real. Damon says they are not taking on that issue that night. Stefan asks what he wants with Katherine's crystal. Damon asks how he knew it was Katherine's. Stefan explains he was the last one to see Katherine when she wore it. Damon says he wants to bring Katherine back.

Back at the house, the girls ask Caroline to give the necklace back, but she says she doesn't have it. Bonnie sees the necklace in the bathroom. When she goes to pick it up, the door closes and locks her inside. The girls bang on the door as the lights flicker. Bonnie starts to scream just before the lights turn back on. The door opens and Bonnie tells the girls she is fine. Elena is suspicious that Bonnie is so calm. As Bonnie walks by the mirror, it projects the image of Emily.

Damon explains that Emily cast a spell on the crystal. He explains that there is a a tomb under the church that trapped Katherine. He says witches can use celestial events to increase their powers. He explains that he promised to keep Emily's lineage alive in exchange for bringing Katherine back.

Caroline tells Bonnie she can't believe she fell for their tricks. Bonnie thanks Elena for having her and says she has to go back where it all began. She says she won't let Damon have the necklace and will destroy it. Elena calls Emily's name and cause Bonnie to turn around. Emily, who is now taken over Bonnie's body, realizes Elena knows who she really is and locks them in the house. Elena calls Stefan and informs him that Emily possessed Bonnie. They figure that she is on her way to the church. Stefan overhears the call and takes off. He meets Emily and tells her they had a deal. Damon attacks Emily, but she pushes him into a tree that impales him in his abdomen.
