This was another exciting episode. The pace of the story is well set as characters are introduced and unexpectantly killed off. Lexi would have been a powerful ally for Stefan, but it is too bad that she died. I wonder if there is a code established by older vampires where they are not supposed to kill one another. Damon's plot to rid of the council is indeed diabolical, but I wonder why he wants the crystal. I am surprised that the novelty of the series has not worn off on me as I look forward to watch the rest of the series.
