Mayor Lockwood meets with his wife at the restaurant and says they shouldn't have trusted Logan. They figure since the vampires took the compass, they know about their hunt. Damon, who is also in the diner, overhears the Lockwoods say they need to find the vampires.

At school, Matt tells Tyler his sister just called him. As Caroline shows Bonnie her Halloween outfit, Bonnie sees that she has the Damon's locket and borrows it. They wonder where Elena is and figure she is with Stefan.

Stefan explains to Vicki that coffee is their friend since it warms their blood to the touch. He tells her she needs to fight off the urge to feed off humans. Stefan admits he used to feed on humans a long time ago. Vicki says she constantly has headaches and is surprised she still needs to pee. Stefan goes out to get more blood. Vicki gets on the phone to call Jeremy, but Elena stops her and tells her she shouldn't see him anymore. Vicki gets angry, grabs Elena's neck and tells her she will see Jeremy if she wants to.

Elena tells Stefan that Vicki threatened her. Stefan says it took him a while to fight his urges, but he didn't have anyone to guide him. He tells her they can't let Jeremy see Vicki since her emotions and urges are mixed up.

Upstairs, Damon asks Vicki what she is thinking about. She says she is contemplating the next 100 years. Vicki asks why he turned her and he says he admits he was just bored. Vicki says all she can think about is blood. Damon suggests they get out of the house. Stefan tries to stop Damon and Vicki from leaving, but Damon says they are just going to the backyard. Damon tells Stefan that Vicki should know the perks of being a vampire, then speeds around her. Vicki runs off into the woods. After they realize she is not coming back, Damon says, 'my bad.'

Vicki goes home, but finds she can't step past the door. After Matt asks her to come inside, she discovers she can finally enter. Matt tells Vicki that everyone was worried about her. She tells him to let it go, but he says he had a search party look for her. Stefan knocks on the door and asks to talk to Vicki. She tells Matt she doesn't want to see Stefan.

Jeremy tries to call Vicki, but she doesn't answer. Elena advises he let her go. Jeremy says after their parents died, Vicki was there to make him feel better. He says keeping them apart is not the best thing to do. Jeremy gets a text from Vicki who asks him to meet her at school during the Halloween party.

Tyler, who is dressed as a gladiator, brings Bonnie and Caroline, who are dressed as witches, drinks. At the restaurant, Damon meets with Mrs. Lockwood and tells her she looks like Daisy Buchanan, the famous flapper girl. Mrs. Lockwood asks him what his last name is and he says he is Zack Salvatore's nephew. Damon tries to use his power of persuasion on Lockwood, but it doesn't works since she has a Verbane bracelet. She asks where Zack is and he lies and says he is out of town. She says she wants to talk to Zack about his stash of verbane.

Matt tells Elena he saw Vicki at the party dressed up as a vampire. Elena panics after she realizes Vicki is after her brother. As Vicki stumbles through the crowd, she is tempted to bite at people's neck. Stefan grabs her and brings her to another room. Stefan informs her the crowd makes it hard for her to stay in control. He tells her he knows she is hungry.
