Last week, a reader commented that if I have read the books, I would know that Alaric was not a vampire. I admit that I haven't read the books and I don't plan to. One of the things that impressed me with this series is that it was able to fool me into thinking Alaric was a vampire with the ring and the looks he gave at Jenna's doorstep. Kate, if you are reading, thank you for your comment and please let me know what you think about the series.

I thought this was one of the better episodes this season. The series does a great job pacing the revelations of the plot. I am intrigued at the idea of another vampire wanting to get to the tomb. Damon's plan to work both sides reminds me of super double agent stories.
