After she stops, Elena apologizes to Stefan for being so harsh. She says she wants to be a writer. She explains her mom encouraged her just before she died. She feels like she can't continue her dream since it is something she shared with her. Just before exiting her car, Stefan says he is leaving for her. Elena tells Stefan he shouldn't make the decision for her. Elena exclaims he loves Stefan. Stefan turns around and gives Elena a kiss. Stefan brings Elena inside. After Stefan reveals his primal form, Elena tells him not to hide, then gives him a kiss. Stefan brings Elena up to his room.

Logan hears noises from the building he was in. Alaric appears and explains he is a friend of Jenna. Logan tells Alaric he is stupid and asks what he wants. Alaric says Jenna deserves the best and he is going to make sure she gets it. Logan transforms into a vampire and attacks, but Alaric stabs him with a stake.

Tyler asks Matt for a ride home. Matt says he likes Caroline and won't apologize for how he feels. After Forbes tucks Caroline in bed, she gets a call. Elena asks Stefan if he leaves his stuff when he comes and goes. Stefan explains his room is the only thing that remains constant. After Stefan goes down to grab a drink for Elena, she looks around his room and discovers Katherine looks exactly like her.

Forbes calls Damon and informs him they found Logan's body. She says he was hoarding victims and thanks him.

Stefan discovers that Elena is not in his room. He finds the locket of Verbane he gave her next to the picture of Katherine. Meanwhile, while Elena drives home, she hits a man who stands in the middle of the road. After her car flips over, she is powerless as the man gets up and approaches her.
