Wayne and Grace look for the entry point of the killer and discuss the existence of ghosts. Wayne asks Grace if she has friends at the homeless shelter. She says yes, then notices a locked storage room door that has been pried open. They enter the room and Grace sees that all the power tools are missing. She then finds a cigarette butt and Wayne calls it in.

Patrick meets with a local historian named Philip Raimey and asks about Beckworth. Patrick finds out that Beckworth was into spiritualism and held seances at the house.

Victoria tells Cho she was angry with Alan for buying her childhood home. Victoria's nephew Drew walks in and says it is a complicated issue. Victoria explains that Drew is a lawyer. Cho asks what changed her mind about letting Alan buy the house. Victoria tells Cho he has a good aura. She then says Alan had a pink aura which means he is a liar. Drew assures Cho that his aunt couldn't kill anyone. Drew says he is there helping her out with her tax issues. Patrick calls Cho and tells him what he learned. Cho asks Victoria about the ghost and she says it's her grandfather. Patrick asks Cho about the treasure hidden in the house. Victoria tells Cho it was a myth they gave up searching for years ago. Patrick asks Philip how Beckworth made his money and he says bootlegging. Patrick asks what he thought about Alan, and Philip says not much.

Wayne and Grace enter the house and hear noises. They go upstairs to investigate. Grace tries to turn on the light, but they flicker. They then hear a voice calling to them. A door opens and they see a video of Patrick. He appears and shows them the hidden system that is rigged to make it look like there are ghosts in the house, which is how Beckworth made his money. Patrick says the house was used for moving illegal liquor and has a series of hidden tunnels.

Teresa meets with Jim, one of the construction workers hired to work on the Beckworth house, and asks about the stolen equipment. He says he doesn't know anything, but she tells him to go to the station to answer some questions. Cho tells him they found the equipment in his truck and his cigarette butt at the scene. He says he didn't kill Alan. He offers to give Cho information if he gets a break on the theft charges. Cho points out that he is also guilty of tax evasion. Jim tells Cho he saw Alan's wife Lillian sitting in her car the night of the murder.

Wayne and Grace search the dark halls. They find a wine cellar and hear rats. Wayne's flashlight goes out and Grace screams when she feels something crawl up her leg. Wayne then grabs her and tells her he loves her. Grace stutters and he goes to kiss her. Patrick then interrupts and says he found the secret entrance.

Teresa and Cho go to Lillian's house. They see Victoria and Drew are there and watch as Lilian and Victoria get into a fight.

Patrick and Teresa question Lilian about the fight. She says she just lost it. Teresa then asks about her alibi. Lilian admits she was at the mansion. She says she was ashamed of why she was there. Patrick explains that Lilian thought her husband was being unfaithful. She says he had an affair about a year ago. She says they worked on it, but she never fully trusted him again. She says she wanted to catch him in the act, but no one showed up. She says she bought gas on her way home which will verify she was not there when he was killed. Lilian says she wishes she had died too, but Patrick assures her the feeling will pass.
