Patrick and Lisbon meet with Alicia who is trapped in the chamber. She describes how the super virus kills the victim within several hours. She insists that someone wanted her dead and opened the flask. Patrick learns that Edmunds and Alicia are married. Alicia says their is an antidote, but it is only effective if the person takes it before exposure. She figures the person who killed her took the antidote. She tells the team that they have a biometric system in which only a few scientists from the company has access to.

Lisbon calls the team at the station and asks them to do a background check on the staff. Patrick watches as the scientists Lilith, Griffin and Florian fill out questionnaires. Patrick figures Alicia is having an affair with another doctor named Kaseem.

Patrick asks Alicia why she didn't tell them she was having an affair with Kaseem. Edmunds says they have an open marriage and he is fine with it. Alicia gets a video call from her daughter Isabel who is upset that she got infected. Patrick watches as Alicia catches up with Isabel's school and personal life. Alicia tells Isabel she is proud of her and orders her not to waste time being sad after she is gone. Alicia says goodbye, then falls to the ground.

Dean sees that Alicia is dead and tells Edmunds he is sorry for his loss. He says they will start a decontamination procedure which is a low radiation bath. Dean says he is sure that Alicia made a mistake and killed herself, but Lisbon says she thinks it was a homicide.
