Alicia talks to Will about Ryan and Will suggests they hire him. Alicia tells Will he met Ryan during the lead poisoning case. Will asks if Ryan is holding a grudge. Alicia sees Ryan and takes off. They talk about how they are going to proceed with the case. Alicia makes settlement suggestions, but Ryan asks her about her relationship with Peter. He tells her that she is a rule follower.

Kalinda calls Alicia over and shows her the narrow gap that the video cameras didn't record. She says Dawe would have had to known the exact location to fall and be out of view. Kalinda says she thinks Dawn has a connection within the security company and is scamming them.

The lawyers meet and discuss a settlement. Alicia tells them that Anna's father is not stepping in to make a payment.

Kalinda goes to the security company and talks to a man named Hank about the camera that was not hooked up until after the accident. Meanwhile, Alicia tells Ryan about the scam. He tells her he likes her. She tells him that she is married.

Will meets with Diane and tells her he can't fire any more people. He suggests they eliminate Stern since his salary would pay for 15 litigators. Diane points out that he is going after the partner who sides with her.

Anna meets with Alicia outside the courtroom and tells her how hard it is to have Isaac be mad at her. Ryan shows up and the trial resumes. Ryan has Hank take the stand. He denies knowing Dawn. Ryan shows Hank his phone bill with Dawn's phone number on it. Hank says he contests the calls. Hank admits he used a cherry picker to install the camera. Ryan points out that Hank was in a position to tamper with the wire.

During the questioning, Kalinda walks in and hands Alicia a note. Alicia meets with Kalinda in the hallway and she says Will wanted to hire Ryan, but they can't find his bar number. Kalinda tells Alicia that Ryan failed his bar exam and never took it again. Alicia says he is winning the case. Kalinda says Ryan will be arrested and she will be too if she ignores the information. Alicia asks Kalinda to take a walk since they are only minutes away from breaking the case.

Alicia returns to the courtroom. She whispers to Ryan that she knows he isn't a lawyer. She tells him she won't let him endanger the case. Ryan ends his questioning. Alicia takes him outside and insists he turn himself in right after the case goes to the jury. After deliberating, the jury returns with a verdict in favor of the defense.

Alicia goes to Will and tells him she made a mistake about Ryan. She says he isn't right for the firm and Will thanks her for her input. Alicia then returns home and listens to a message from Ryan. He says he made a mistake and wants to fix it. Alicia hangs up before hearing the rest of the message.

Alicia goes to Zach's room and demands to know who he was speaking to on the phone. He tells her she wouldn't understand. Alicia insists he tell her. Zach says he called a sex line because he was curious, but he won't do it again. Alicia tells him they need to tell each other the truth. Zach insists he is telling her the truth.
