Will and Alicia meet with Patrice and she introduces them to Josh Baldwin, Clarence's former defense attorney. Josh asks Alicia about her husband's taskforce, but she doesn't know about it. He then gives them the boxes of evidence from the case. He says the case came down to one eye witness. Alicia and Will meet with Dr. Tara Rothbart, the eye witness, and she says she is sure she saw Clarence rob the store and kill the police officer.

Will and Diane are shown an image of a man robbing a house, then show them six different African American men. They both pick the wrong one and Professor Jolie explains that Caucasians have a hard time deciphering different facial characteristics of African Americans. Kalinda then takes a try at the experiment and tries to pick out a Caucasians male, but fails.

Kalinda goes to the police station and asks about the lineup Clarence was in. Detective Alec Shores tells him that they found Clarence with blood on his sweatshirt and brought him in. He says the witness picked him out right away. Kalinda asks if he nudged her in any way and he says no. As Kalinda leaves the station, a friend of hers gives her a file on the case.

Kalinda shows Alicia the lineup images that were shown to the witness before she picked Clarence. She then tells Alicia she needs to go to her husband for more information. Kalinda then meets with Peter in prison while Alicia and Patrice meet with Clarence. Kalinda asks Peter about the case and he says Clarence is a cop killer. Peter says Childs was the top dog on the case and it would hurt him if the case got overturned. Peter says the only way he can give her information that isn't surveyed is if it is given during a conjugal. Meanwhile, Alicia asks Clarence about the sweatshirt. He says the cops made him keep it on during the mug shot.

Alicia, Cary and Will go before the judge and he is annoyed that they are questioning his ruling. The prosecuting attorney, Maton Brody, introduces the previous court records into evidence and rests. Will admits he was caught off guard and requests a recess until tomorrow. The judge denies the request and tells him they have ten minutes. The team frantically calls in their witnesses. Kalinda tells Alicia she needs to meet with Peter for a conjugal visit to get information. Alicia is angry that Kalinda has been visiting her husband in prison.

The trial resumes and Will calls Detective Alec Shores tot he stand. Will tells Alicia to question him, but she points out that Cary has prepped for it. Will says he doesn't care and insists Alicia do the questioning. She asks Shores why Clarence was the only suspect in a sweatshirt that the witness described she saw. He says Clarence told him the blood was from a nosebleed he got during a pick up game. He says they couldn't get a DNA match because the sweatshirt had been washed. Alicia asks if Clarence was arrested because he was wearing a Bulls sweatshirt. Shores says Clarence was arrested because he fit the eye witness description. Alicia points out that the Bulls are popular and many people could have been wearing a Bulls sweatshirt. The judge asks if anyone owns a Bulls sweatshirt and several people raise their hands.

Will updates Diane on the trial. She asks why he bumped Cary from second chair. Will says he is giving Alicia a chance to rise to the top. He says Alicia is a secret weapon. Diane points out that Alicia has an agenda to embarrass the man who ruined her husband's career.
