Will goes before the judge and makes the case that Clarence did not receive a fair trial. The judge asks how the case differs from the Scott Peterson case. Will says the made for TV movie shows Clarence shooting the victim, unlike the Peterson video.

Patrice, Clarence's wife, approaches Alicia and asks why Clarence wasn't in court. Alicia says death row inmates can't be in court. Patrice tells Alicia that Clarence is innocent and was with her that night. She gives Alicia a picture of Clarence with their daughter.

Will tells Alicia that they lost the appeal. Alicia asks what is going to happen to the case and Will tells her it's no longer their case.

Alicia tells Kalinda they need to appeal the case based on actual innocence. Kalinda tells Alicia that Patrice never took the stand because she had priors. Kalinda reminds Alicia that a jury found Clarence guilty of killing a cop and refuses to help.

Will tells Alicia that Cary wants to spend a week on the Wilcox case and Alicia is pleased. She asks Cary about his change of mind. He shows her a picture that Patrice gave him in court and Alicia shows him she got the same one.
