I want to come up with theories of where the characters are going, but this episode gives me nothing to go on. This was a generic case that doesn't do anyting to differentiate itself from other crime shows. I don't find the mysteries engaging or the action exciting. I don't think this series is going to last. I can't believe Layla would stay handcuffed to the chair without speaking to a lawyer. I am sure she can afford one since she split the 14 million. What also doesn't make sense is there was no question where Jake went since he was supposed to receive his share. What also makes sense is the use of resources to solve the case when in the pilot episode Alex told the team their job is just to ID the body. The main characters and their actions could be done by any member of the team and their personalities are forgettable.
