Grace and Alex question John and suggest he had to do something with Jake's death since the company was sold for over 14 million dollars. Becky says Jake called before he was going off to India. and told her he didn't want to sell his company. John says he thinks someone set him up.

Alex gets a call from Walter who tells him there is something going on with Gupta. He reports that Gupta is meeting with Mike and Layla at a restaurant outside the city. Alex and Grace go to the restaurant and see Walter inside. Walter slips his phone under the partner's table while they argue. Layla gets upset, gets up and steps on the phone.

Alex suspects that the friendship fell apart and the partners killed Jake since he didn't want to sell the company. Grace says she needs one of them to crack. They agree to work on Layla.

Walter goes to Layla's boutique dressed as a telephone worker and asks her to move her car. After she pulls out of her parking spot, the police surround her and ask her to step out of the car. The team learns the police pulled Layla over for drunk driving. The team figures all three of the partners know what really happened to Jake.

Layla becomes tired after hours of waiting at the station. Alex tells her they know she met with Mike and Gupta. They ask her what happened in the cabin and she says nothing did. Alex informs her he knows Jake didn't want to sell. Layla admits Jake wanted to try to fix the company. She says the group all agreed not to sell. Alex asks if any one of them wanted the money enough to kill Jake. She explains what happened. While Jake was drinking out in the deck, she told him she was in love with him. Layla says he didn't want a relationship because she was Mike's girlfriend. Layla admits she got upset and pushed Jake off a railing where he died. The next day, the remaining partners agreed to cover up his death and sell off the company. Lindsay says she regrets what happened.

Later, Mike, Lindsay and Gupta are arrested. Candace goes to woods and lays flowers where Jake was discovered.
