Tess finds Zod in her mansion who asks where Jor-El is. Tess lies and says she thinks she has located him as she shows him a satellite photo. He says they should celebrate with drinks. He tries to seduce her, but she says she is not interested. He says he knows that Jor-El is in her cellar and he had his men grab him. Tess pretends she is upset, but secretly the events are going as she planned.

Choe tells Clark that she has surveillance cameras set up in his farm and she thinks it will reveal where Jor-El went. They see Jor-El get captured by Tess's men. Oliver asks Clark to let him talk to Tess, but he speeds away. Meanwhile, Jor-El is brought to Zod's headquarters. Zod asks Jor-El to restore their powers

Jor-El remembers when he created the Kryptonian orb. He told Zod that the orb is ready and the Stone of Knowledge will be is available to the men once they reach their destination. Jor-El said they need to include their DNA. Zod showed Jor-El hair lockets from his wife and son and asked him to bring back his family, but Jor-El said they don't have the right to revive them. Zod told Jor-El he is dead to him.

In the present, Jor-El tells Zod that he corrupted the orb to deny him and his soldiers their powers. Jor-El tells Zod that Krypton is gone because he destroyed it. He explains Zod led a military coup, was on the verge of losing, then decided to destroy the planet instead of surrendering. After beating Jor-El, Zod figures that Jor-El had a family. Zod tells his soldiers to release Jor-El so he can lead them to his son.

Clark barges in Tess's office and asks her where Jor-El is. Tess says she doesn't know who he is talking about, but he thinks she is lying. Tess says the only alien she knows is in front of her. Clark grabs Tess's neck and raises her off the ground. Tess says she has been waiting for him to admit he is from Krypton. Tess informs him she put a tracking device on Jor-El in order to locate Zod. She says that Jor-El is now at his farm. Clark runs back home and sees his dad collapse. Jor-El tells Clark he is proud of him. Just before he dies, Jor-El asks him to save Zod.

Clark tells Oliver that he feels empty now that his father is gone. Clark is upset since he had so many questions. Clark says Jor-El sacrificed himself several times for him. Olivier tells Clark that he always will have his back. Clark says he wants to bring justice to the people who killed his father. Chloe discovers that Jor-El hid a medallion at the farm. Clark buries Jor-El and uses his heat ray to burn a symbol into a stone. He tells Jor-El that he can't save Zod. Nearby, Zod watches.
