Tess meets with Zod in front of a blur symbol. Zod tells her that a man named Jor-El, who she knows as the Blur, took all their powers for himself. He tells her he will consider them as equals if she finds him. Tess says she already has a team searching for Jor-El.

Clark and Oliver arrive at a desert to look for a Kandorian symbol. Oliver says even though they are at the coordinates, he doesn't see anything. Clark uses his X-ray vision and sees a glass under the sand. He uses his super breath and reveals the Blur's symbol. After he finds a dog tag, he figures his father landed on Earth. Meanwhile, Jor-El hitches a ride to Clark's farm.

Chloe sees Jor-El at Clark's farm and realizes he is Clark's father. Jor-El says he doesn't have a child, but Chloe informs him that Clark's Kryptonian name is Kal-El. She explains he sent Clark to Earth in order to save him before Krypton was destroyed. Jor-El realizes his wife is dead. Chloe says they are searching for the others that went with him. Jor-El says the soldiers are being led by his best friend Zod.

He remembers when the Council told Jor-El that the punishment for his treason was death. Zod addresses the Council and says that Jor-El is a hero who is dedicated to creation. He asks them to spare Jor-El's life. After the Council deliberates, they announce he will be spared, but the orb he is working on that will be sent out must be completed to include Zod and his own DNA. He tells Zod that he is forever in his debt.
