Later, Oliver pulls up to Mia as she works the streets. He asks her if she wants to drive his sportscar. Oliver tells Mia she fought very well. He says he used to get into fights like her where he was more angry at himself. He offers to give her courage so she can get off the streets.

A computer programmer named Stuart tells Tess that someone is trying to hack into her system. Tess informs him that if he doesn't fix the problem, he will be terminated. Chloe finally is able to break through one firewall only to be blocked by another one set up by Stuart.

Tess gives a presentation about Luthorcorp's partnership with RAO Inc. She announces the project they are working on will put Metropolis on the map. She unveils a 3D model of a solar tower and says after it is built it will supply enough green energy to power the city of Metropolis. Zod arrives and commends her plan. Zod states he is the new chairman of RAO. He says Tess is making his dream of harnessing the power of the sun. Zod promises the tower will change the world.

At the cafe where he is going to meet his blind date, Clark puts on an earpiece and hears Lois and the producer. Lois tells him the most important thing about dating is that he shows up. She says he should have shown up to their first date at the monster truck rally. A nervous woman named Catherine arrives and introduces herself to Clark. She says she never thought she would go on a dating show. In Clark's ear, Lois says if Catherine is scared she should go home. Catherine says she was overseas in the Peace corp which makes Lois jealous.

After the event, Zod tells Tess he used his highly evolved intelligence to make Luthorcorp one of the most technologically advanced companies on Earth. Zod says he wants the Blur. He says he knows she ordered the Blur's blood sample to be destroyed after he had it tested. Tess demands they be equal partners in their new venture, but he says there is no way she can be equal to a Kandorian. Zod tells Tess's bodyguard to kill Tess if she doesn't tell them where the Blur is.
