Oliver gambles at a roulette table in a seedy underground gambling parlor called Roulette. He wagers his car and loses. An tattooed Asian woman wearing a red dress tells Oliver he looks down on his luck. She says he looks like he is looking for a game to satisfy him. She shuffles three metal cups turned upside down and instructs him to choose. After he picks one cup, she reveals a pill that he swallows. After Oliver follows her out into the street, he becomes woozy and collapses on the ground. Later, Oliver wakes up and finds himself in a wooden coffin with the words, 'Game Over,' written above him.

Clark comes home and finds Lois at his house doing laundry. She asks him to join her for movie night. She sits him down and says there is nothing else he can do that night since they are in Smallville. Clark hears a woman scream in the distance. After Clark makes an excuse that they need snacks, he goes to the street to save a woman from an attacker, then quickly returns to the couch with a bowl of popcorn.

Meanwhile, Oliver feels around the coffin and finds a hinge. He takes a part from the flashlight, pushes out the hinge pin, and breaks free. He hears someone in another coffin labeled Alex Luthor. He opens it up and sees it contains only a stereo.

Oliver calls out he doesn't want to play anymore. A voice tells him he will be released if he says the safe word. Oliver asks who the voice is. The voice instructs him to think about the person who he destroyed. After the voice asks him if he had his rabies shot, dog crashes through the window and chases after him. Oliver runs outside and jumps into a car. Oliver sees a truck driving towards him, tries to escape, but sees the doors are locked before the truck crashes into the side of the car.

At his farm, Clark returns to Lois after saving another person. He asks Lois if she is okay. Lois informs him since it is Oliver's birthday, she usually goes out with him to play beer pong. Clark suggests that Oliver went out with someone else. Lois asks him to tell her if there was anything wrong with Oliver.

Oliver wakes up and sees himself just outside of the car that was hit. He tries to call Chloe, but the operator says the call cannot be completed. Oliver sees the name of the gambling parlor, Roulette, stamped on his wrist. He returns to the gambling parlor and is warned by the woman he met that the men there are going to kill him. After Oliver fights the men, he brings the woman out to the streets.

The woman tells him her name is Victoria and was hired to bring targets into the parlor. She says she doesn't know who hired her and was threated to be killed if she didn't bring him in. She asks Oliver who he hurt so bad in which he would become a target. They start to run after they are shot at. Victoria is shot and dies on the ground. The police arrive and order Oliver to put his hands up. Oliver exclaims they have the wrong guy, but is shot by a stun dart.

Lois and Clark go to Oliver's apartment to look for him. Clark finds a napkin with the word, 'Roulette,' on it. Lois looks at his computer and discovers Oliver has a video of the bomb threat that happened a few weeks ago loaded up. She realizes Oliver wanted to kill himself after he stepped off the Toy Man's fake bomb rigged trigger plate. Lois sees that Clark was there and knew about the incident. She calls him a liar for not telling her about Oliver's issues.

Oliver is handcuffed to the table. An FBI agent arrives and says Oliver is now under his jurisdiction. He tells him he knows about the game he played. He informs him they have been tracking the suspects for a long time. He says the suspects are waiting to clean out his bank accounts and asks him to check it. Oliver loads up his bank account on a laptop and sees all his money there. The agent says he is lucky, then leaves. Oliver looks again and sees his funds drain from his account. A gas is piped in the room, but Clark arrives and says he heard him screaming. Oliver realizes he was setup and robbed.
