At Luthorcorp, Oliver seduces the female police officer that was chasing after him. She looks through his wallet and finds that he has a picture of Lois. He says that she is someone she knows. The officer drops his belt buckle and asks if it is a camera. He looks at it and sees that it is some sort of spyware device. The police officer gets upset at the possibility of having her video uploaded to the web, slaps him, then leaves. He figures that the spyware was planted by Tess.

Hamilton tells Chloe what he learned about the virus. They believe that they can find an antidote if they find someone with the right blood type. They figure that someone with alien blood is a perfect candidate.

Meawhile at the Planet, Clark wraps Lois's wound. Clark informs her that the government believes that the virus is airborne. Since she thinks that they don't have long to live, Lois asks Clark if he has any secrets. She admits that she was helping the Blur just to get close to him. She says that she feels a connection to the Blur. She says that she doesn't want to be alone anymore. Clark receives a call from Chloe. Oliver shoots a zombie through the glass. He says that he was looking for Tess, but the building went Resident Evil. Clark puts Oliver and Lois in an elevator and instructs Oliver not to let Lois fall asleep.

Clark arrives at the Watchtower. Chloe says that they need to get his blood to develop a cure for the virus. She says that they can use a kryptonite needle to pierce his skin. Hamilton obtains a blood sample and takes off to produce a cure.

In the elevator, Lois tells Oliver that he is a mess. He tells her that he is sorry that she is seeing him like this. He looks at his reflection and realizes that he is messed up. He tells her that he misses her, but realizes that she fell asleep and went into a rage. She pushes him into the wall then jumps through the elevator escape door.

Clark wakes up and sees a message from Oliver that says he lost Lois. In Oliver's plane, Chloe and Hamilton are able to add the cure into the water supply. They release the cure into the atmosphere just before it starts to rain.

Clark goes to the Daily Planet and sees Lois at the copy machine. She turns, attacks him, and punches him through the window. He grabs and holds her as the rain starts to fall. Moments later, she is cured. She asks Clark what happened. He tells her that they made it as they hold each other. Other city dwellers go in the rain and are cured.

Later, Clark finds Oliver drinking in the street and tells him that he is upset he couldn't keep Lois awake. He asks Oliver if he needs help. Oliver says that he knows that he has been running away from himself for a long time. Clark tells him that he knows what to do next. Oliver thanks him for his talk. Oliver pours the rest of his drink on his Green Arrow outfit and lights it on fire.

The next day, Clark looks over the picture of Lana and puts it in his photo album. Lois arrives to thank Clark for saving her. Lois says that she doesn't remember attacking him. She says that she saw that he was a hero. She says that they make a good team. Lois tells him that he never told her his secret. She goes to playfully slap him, but he catches her hand. After she leaves, she sees a vision of Oliver burying Chloe.

Meanwhile, Doctor Coats, who turns out to be a Kryptonian soldier, returns to base and bows down to Major Zod. Zod tells Coats that he has become reckless by unleashing a hostile virus on the population. Zod tells him that the humans will hunt them if they find out who is responsible for the virus. Coats says that he found another Kryptonian in Metropolis. He shows him the symbol of Jor-El. Coats says that Jor-El has gained powers from the sun. He explains his plan to unleash the virus and lure Jor-El out. He gives Zod a vial and says that Jor-El's blood was used to create the antivirus. Zod asks the soldier to kneel before him. Zod pulls out a sword and beheads Coats.
