The season nine premiere takes place three weeks after Clark and Doomsday's epic battle. Obsessed with becoming the hero the world needs, Clark is now literally leaving his mark on Metropolis – having fully embraced his Kryptonian side in order to finish training with his father Jor-El, Clark has started wearing the iconic "S"-shield on his chest, and spreads the symbol around the city in an effort to give its people hope.

Whereas Clark is working alone, Chloe feels driven to reunite the disbanded Justice League. Her biggest challenge is Oliver Queen, who'd rather lose himself in underground fight clubs and drunken one-night stands. Oliver's friends will hatch a plan to bring him back from the edge. Reconnecting with the hero inside of him, Oliver will return with a renewed purpose, even searching out an apprentice in Mia Dearden, DC comics' teenaged sidekick "Speedy."

Clark and Oliver will find themselves caught up in a love triangle with Lois, as both men's passions begin to burn brightly for her. Returning from her trip through time, Lois starts experiencing nightmarish visions of the future. Could they come true? If so, one not-so-troubling image is playing itself over and over in her head – Lois and Clark locked in a romantic, erotic embrace. Meanwhile, Clark continues to be conflicted over his own feelings for Lois. As the sparks fly, Lois and Clark's relationship will deepen, leading to their first true kiss, and possibly something more.

Oliver calls for help from the Black Canary and Aquaman after Clark disappears. Meanwhile, Chloe is held captive by LuthorCorp.

Lex is gone and there's a new CEO in town. Clark starts his career at the Daily Planet and finds himself in the middle of the lead story. Newly engaged Chloe meets a new man who has odd sleeping habits.

Ollie stumbles and collapses at a party. Is he drunk or was he poisoned?

A woman with a seductive yet deadly touch terrorizes the men of Metropolis and Jimmy is her next target. Will Clark be able to save him in time?

A criminal puts Chloe and Jimmy's love to test where the wrong answers can cost them their lives.

A string of murders raises suspicions on Chloe's group of special people, but Davis thinks he might be the one responsible.

Jimmy is on the verge of discovering Clark's secret while Lois's life is threatened by a memory thief.

The Blue Crystal is given to Clark and sends him and Lois to the Phantom Zone.

Brainiac's infection of Chloe begins to eat away at her memories. Will Clark be able to save her before she forgets who he is?

DuringJimmy and Chloe's big day, a murderous wedding crasher threatens to ruin the party.

As Clark searches for Chloe after she taken by Doomsday, he is visited by super heroes from the future.

Jones is shot and Clark suspects that someone in the police force did it while Lana steals the truth from Tess.

Clark searches for Lana and discovers the real reason why she is in Metropolis.

Oliver is attacked by disgruntled former employee while Clark and Lana are faced with the hardest decision in their lives.

Linda Lake, played by Tori Spelling, returns to Metropolis and threatens to reveal Clark's secret while Davis struggles to control his true self.

Tess puts Clark's life in jeopardy onboard a plane in an attempt to expose his superpowers. Meanwhile, Jimmy learns that Davis is a murderer.

Chloe is granted her birthday wish by a magician who seeks to revive her own father.

Clark and Chloe learn that Davis is behind the string of recent murders. Meanwhile, Tess performs her own experiments.

Lois takes on the role of a superhero while Jimmy gets involved with a criminal organization.

Chloe lies to Clark in order to protect Davis. Meanwhile, Jimmy spirals down after getting hooked on drugs.

Chloe returns and convinces Clark to destroy Doomsday. Meanwhile, Oliver admits he killed Lex.

Clark and Oliver have their final showdown with Davis. After a fight with Tess, Lois is transported to another time.

Lois returns from the future, but brings back and unexpectant assassin. Tess meets Major Zod just before he takes command of the Kryptonian army. Chloe and Hamilton team up to reestablish the institute.

John gets into an accident and wakes up with an artificial body. Meanwhile, Clark finds himself putting off his training to come to Lois's aid.

Metropolis is hit by a rage inducing virus that infects Lois and Tess. Meanwhile, Oliver figures out his new direction in life.

The Toyman seeks revenge on Oliver and threatens to blow him up if he doesn't fulfill his demands. Clark uses his temporary power to read minds to get closer with Lois.

Oliver is kidnapped by a woman who is part of an organization conducting an elaborate scheme to take his money. Meanwhile, Lois learns that Oliver hit rock bottom.

Clark and Lois try out for a new morning talk show. Oliver takes in a troubled girl who reminds him of himself. Tess learns she has unknowingly become partners with Zod.

Jor-El arrives at the farm and ends up being used as bait by Tess to find Zod.

The Wonder Twins arrive in town and ruin the Blur's reputation by having him take credit for their actions. Meanwhile, Lois suspects that Clark and the Blur are the same person.

Tess hacks into Lois's mind to find out what she knows about the future and Zod's intentions.

Clark and Lois go on a date where they show a public display of affection. Oliver's mentor returns to enforce a code that the secret archer society lives by.

Clark recruits the help of Hawkman, Star Girl and Dr. Fate after a member of the Justice Society of America is assassinated.

Chloe recruits Angel Warrior to join her party of superheroes, but realizes there is something wrong with him. Santana asks Clark to help her find a dangerous relic cursed by her father.

After he develops the power of persuasion, Clark compels Zod to tell him if he killed his father. Lois decides to quit the Planent to become a traditional homemaker.

A doctor who was experimented on by the Kandorians seeks revenge by kidnapping one of the aliens.
