This episode contained what Private Practice does best. It was packed with emotion and life changing or ending decisions. It was so sad to see Kara die in the car. I found myself about to tear up while the rescue workers cut through the car to free her. The emotional mood continued when Addison brought the baby to Jake.

At the practice it was sad, but also very humorous. Brendon took those pills way too early. He should have popped those pills after he cut the cake. I guess it works out for the better since he learned the truth about Melissa getting pregnant.

As with the kiss between Addison and Sam, I don't think the relationship will work because of Naomi. There is no way Sam can cut his ties with her since they have a daughter together. Addison and Naomi are best friends and just recently realized they don't do well without each other. If she has problems with Sam, it would be awkward to share with her since there is probably some residual feelings. Maybe they will sneak around for a while and end up getting caught.
