William meets with Naomi and apologizes for not introducing Gabriel to him. He explains he had to make a decision to hire Gabriel since he was in demand. William orders Naomi to make Gabriel's hire work.

Violet straps Barbara in for the ECT. Jimmy tells his girlfriend he loves her as she is sedated. Violet flips a switch which uneventfully sends a current through Barbara's head.

Addison tells Sam that Lilly is in a hospice and is going to die alone. Naomi walks in and asks Sam for some chocolate. She says that she has to accept Gabriel's hire. Sam suggests she try to convince the Donovans not to have a dwarf baby.

Charlotte meets with William in the elevator. He congratulates her for joining Oceanside Wellness. Charlotte lies that she has patients lining up to see her.

Violet finds Pete with Barbara while she sleeps. After she wakes up she tells Violet that she feels lighter. Jimmy walks in the room and is happy to see Barbara smiling. Barbara asks Jimmy if she knows him. Violet explains that Barbara has a mild temporary memory loss. She suggests he talk to her. Violet confesses to Pete that the memory loss might be permanent, but she will fix her.

Naomi tries to convince the Donovans that she wants to work with them, but she doesn't want to perform genetic selection. Sally sees a picture of Naomi's daughter and asks her if someone told her that she can't have her daughter like she is. They ask her if she would risk a fifty fifty chance of having a white baby. They explain if they have a tall baby, there are going to be people who will whisper about them. Later, Naomi meets with Gabriel and tells him that even though she agrees with the procedure, she will be there to stop him if he takes them down a slippery slope.

Addison takes Naomi out shopping for cat supplies. Addison sees a cute bag and Naomi informs her that it is a cat carrier. Cooper finds Charlotte working on the plumbing. Charlotte says she thinks she screwed up with her practice. She admits she lied to William when she told him her clinic is successful. She says she doesn't want to fail twice.

Barbara tells Violet that she is very happy since everything seems so new. Violet asks Barbara questions about her past which she recalls almost perfectly. Violet tells her that she was going to get married to Jimmy, but she doesn't remember him. Later, Violet tells Pete that she suspects that there was something so bad that happened to Jimmy that the ECT blocked out.

Naomi sarcastically tells Pete that since she hired a new doctor, everything is going to be great. Naomi advises that since Violet is not better, he shouldn't push to get back with her. Naomi gets angry with Gabriel since he didn't tell her that the Donovans have a genetic disorder called VHL which puts their baby at risk of developing cancer by the time it turns twenty.

Violet meets with Barbara and Jimmy and asks them if they remember the last time they fought. Barbara says she doesn't want to think about negative things since she is so happy. Jimmy tells Barbara that she loved him. She tells Jimmy he seems nice then quickly changes the subject.

Charlotte meets with a patient named Mr. Parker and asks her how she can help. He explains that he wants his girlfriend to be satisfied, but he pulls the trigger too quickly. Parker says he heard about her in a chat room, which surprises her.

While Addison brings Milo in the hospital to meet Lilly, she runs into Reynolds. He asks her if she would like to have coffee with her and she agrees. Addison takes Milo out of her bag to be with Lilly, but discovers that she already died.

Pete and Violet wonder if Jimmy could be dangerous to Barbara. Pete informs her that it is her fault that Barbara is damaged. Pete tells Barbara that there should be a reason she is blocking out Jimmy. Violet asks if she is burying something. Pete says they will make sure Jimmy won't hurt her. Barbara cracks up laughing and says Jimmy won't hurt her. She explains that she felt happy until she saw Jimmy. She admits she used the ECT treatment to try to break up with Jimmy without hurting his feelings.

Naomi tells Addison that she feels better after yelling at Gabriel. Addison says that Lilly just died without family or friends. Addison says she feels alone and wonders if she has bad karma because she is a cheater. She says Reynolds asked her out, but she doesn't want to because she is messed up.

The Donovans tell Naomi that they think she won't give them what they want since she thinks they are freaks. Naomi admits she was fat when she was a kid and has her own insecurities. Naomi clarifies that she was massive and was made fun of by the other kids. Naomi explains that she can't implant a sick embryo. She says what really should matter is that they have a healthy child of their own.
