Zoe and Amelia, two patients who were treated at the practice and had their embryos accidentally switched and implanted in each other, arrive in the clinic. They both say there are problems with their pregnancies. Zoe is brought to the examination room where Addison sees that there is something wrong. Addison explains there is a teratoma, or a tumor, in her baby in which she would like to operate on. She says without surgery, the baby will die. Addison adds that if she decides on the surgery, there is risk that her uterus will be perforated which will result in losing the ability to have another child. Zoe says she knows the embryo is the last one that Ameila had, but she can't proceed since her husband Martin wants a big family. Zoe says she wants to continue the pregnancy without telling Amelia that her baby has a tumor.

Pete unpacks in Naomi's clinic. He tells Naomi that without Violet's testimony, Katie will walk due to her plea of insanity. Pete says Violet is missing out on her son as he grows up.

Violet tells Sam she doesn't want to relive her attack. Sam says he knows facing Katie will be hard. A nurse tells Violet that Mr. Kent, Katie's father is there to see her. Sam tells Violet that she should face her fear. He says he will be near to support her. Kent tries to apologize for Katie. He says Violet helped her and Katie couldn't stop talking about her. He explains that if Katie goes to prison, her illness will eat her alive. Kent admits that Katie wants to see her since she thinks that Violet is the only person who understands her.

Charlotte meets with Sam and tells him she is a good doctor. She asks him why he is stalling to give her a decision to let her join the practice. Sam tells her she doesn't seem like a good fit. Sam says they need someone calm and he just doesn't like her. Charlotte asks why that has to do with anything. Charlotte finds Violet in the bathroom and says Sam should just make a decision.

Addison tells Sam about Zoe and Amelia. Sam says that since they are going to switch babies in the end, they might face more legal trouble. Addison suggest they bring in Naomi, but they realize the lawyers will go after her first since she was the one who made the original mistake. Later, Addison tells Sam she wants to hire Charlotte because she has the money to buy up Naomi's shares. Noami arrives and tells the doctors that Amelia is suspicious and figures they are lying to them. Addison admits that the baby inside Zoe has a teratoma. Naomi says she wants to talk to Zoe.

Violet meets with Katie in prison. She thanks her for coming and says she is now on her meds. She apologizes for what she did. She begs her to convince the jurors she was crazy the night she took her baby. Katie explains she needs someone on her side. Violet reminds her she gut her like a pig. She tells her that she made her crazy after the attack. Violet leaves as Katie screams for her help.
