Quinn remembers David surprising her with a new home. He told her the new home would make him happy. David told her she had a naive vision of who he used to be. She then saw the grant application he promised to mail and got upset.

Brooke tells Julian she was going to ask him to marry her, but didn't because he told her he was leaving to do a movie. Julian asks if she really meant it. Brooke says she did then, but she doesn't know anymore. Julian tells her he is sorry for hurting her feelings.

Dan straps himself into the lie detector test. He says his son is a good man, but sometimes people can do desperate things. He says his name is Dan Scott, his wife is Rachel, he is the president, Santa Claus,and so on, and the machine says all those things are true. The audience gasps. He then shows images of Renee's facial expressions and points to the signs of her lying. He tells her he thinks she is a good person, but just did a bad thing. Dan suggests she found a way to take advantage of Nathan. Renee tells Dan she doesn't want to be there anymore. Dan tells her she can stop it now.

Quinn then searches the house looking for Haley and Nathan. They watch the rest of the interview. They see Dan get Renee to admit she had sex and got pregnant the night of the party, but it wasn't with Nathan. Renee admits she never slept with Nathan and everyone is relieved.

Nathan tells Haley that Renee is dropping everything. Nate apologizes for getting drunk, but Haley tells him he is still young and they forget that sometimes.

Clay tells Sara he never changed the album on the stereo. She asks him to play it for her. He does and remembers them dancing to the song. Sara went to drink some Kool-Aid and collapsed. The paramedics arrived and covered her with a sheet as they took her away. Sara snaps Clay out of his memory. He admits he is afraid that he is going to forget her. She assures him he won't erase her memory. Someone knocks on the door and Sara tells him to answer it. He opens the door and finds Quinn. He turns around and sees Sara has disappeared. Clay tells her to go home to David.

Rachel tells Dan he had a great show. She asks how he knew Renee was lying. Dan says Nathan is his son adding that it takes a con to know a con.

Brooke tells Julian she needs to know he feels the same about her that she does about him. He tells her she is the girl he loves with all his heart and he is the boy who will be with her forever.

Clay tells Sara it's not fair and they were supposed to have more time. She tells him she wants him to be happy. She asks why he sent Quinn away. She assures him he will never lose her memory, but he needs to let go. Clayton then remembers being at Sara's funeral.
