The team goes to the scene and finds a bullet ridden vehicle. They follow a blood trail to a storage container. Inside they find a makeshift office and several guns. McGee compares the container to the TARDIS from Doctor Who, while Tony says it is more like the container from Lord of War. They discover multiple identity cards for Emma.

Ziva wonders if Paxton has been moonlighting. They discover the container has its own generator. Outside, Tony sees a new set of tire tracks. McGee announces they found blueprints for the IP company. Ziva shows Gibbs a fake passport made for Anthony.

Gibbs shows Anthony the fake passport, but Anthony says he has never seen it before. Gibbs explains his wife had it. After Gibbs asks for the truth, Anthony says he was suspicious about Emma. He says he didn't say anything since he knew Emma was a good person. He admits he hired a private investigator to follow Emma after he suspected she was cheating on him.

McGee reviews the PI tapes as Tony goes to file paperwork. McGee tells Gibbs that Emma was doing nothing out of the ordinary. They notice a man with a hat follow Emma. After Gibbs notices the man put his hand on a wall, he orders McGee to obtain his fingerprints.

McGee, Ziva and Tony bring Abby the prints and files to match them. She orders the team to sort through the prints just before she blows a whistle. After hours of looking, Abby finds a match to a man named Donavan Graham. They realize the man matches the man identified by the security guards.

The team drives to Donavan's house. Tony notices several dead men in the living room. Gibbs finds the body of Donovan. Commander Resnick appears and informs the team that the other dead gunman is named Leo Harper. Tony informs the team that Resnick is Emma's CO. Resnick shows her credentials that proves she works for National Security.

Resnick informs the team that NSA programmed a backdoor to access all iris scanners. She explains Paxton is one of the two agents who had her iris hard coded in the scanners. She shows she is the other person who can open iris scanner locked doors. She explains the Armed Forces Entertainment cover allows her to travel without suspicion. She says she doesn't know why Emma wanted to break into the IP company. She informs them that Emma's husband didn't know what Emma did. Resnick says they should pool their resources to find out what the gunmen wanted.

Jimmy and Ducky explain to Gibbs that the crime scene at the house was staged. Ducky says the kill shots were taken from the back of their heads. Ducky says one of the victims was digging before he died.

The team recovers a server found at the house. They figure the gunmen switched the server while the power was out. McGee suspects the gunmen put the server to infiltrate all the data passed through the government. Abby announces she doesn't think Emma was trying to sell the data. She brings Gibbs to her lab and tells him that Emma consumed a vasodilator. She figures Paxton was trying to ruin her retina in order to block the use of her eye to open the iris scanner doors. Gibbs figures Emma tried to stop the break in. Abby suspects Emma was kidnapped and forced to work with the gunmen. She says she found a prescription bottle that had part of the label torn off. Abby says she found the drug on a blood sample found at the first shootout.

Gibbs asks the security guard if he recognizes Anthony. He says the man might have shot him. After the power is restored, the security guard goes to the farm. Tony, Gibbs and Ziva appear and tell him they know he was trying to hack into the system. Gibbs calls McGee and orders him to kill the power.

At the office, McGee informs Anthony that the man is named Dimitry who worked for Russian intelligence. They figure Dimitry tried to exploit Emma to steal the data. Gibbs explains Emma fought back and prevented him from stealing the data immediately. Gibbs says Emma made a heroic choice.

Tony admits he enjoyed being unplugged. Ziva says it is nice not to deal with email and spam. The team get excited after the power comes back on. The team members frantically work on their computers while Gibbs turns off his monitor.
