Gibbs asks the team to load up the file on Cryer. He watches Vance interview Ziva. Vance says that there are inconsistencies about her psychological profile. He shares his concern about her working for both the Mossad and the U.S. He asks her to talk to him about her capture.

Tony and McGee look over Cryer's file. They see that he was recruited out of high school then was stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan before he went AWOL. McGee says that the Damocles was 100 miles off course before it disappeared. Gibbs compares the disappearance to Aliens. They wonder what happened to Ziva when she was on the ship.

Abby shows McGee weather reports near Africa around the time the Damocles disappeared. She says that she doesn't think that the Damocles was ever near the storm. McGee figures that they can find where the Damocles sunk by analyzing where the body was found. Abby says that she already sent a salvage crew to the location.

Ducky tells Tony that Cryer was shot in the head, but they are unable to find the slug.

Vance informs Ziva that they found a body that came from the Damocles and asks her if she knows about it. Ziva says that people die on ships and afterwards, their body is wrapped in plastic. Vance says he knows that Cryer was shot and asks why. McGee tells Gibbs that the salvage crew found that all the crew members of the Damocles were executed.

Gibbs looks over photos of the wreckage. Ziva is brought to an interrogation room. Ducky asks Gibbs if what they are doing is punishing Ziva. Gibbs says that it is tough love, but Ducky says that there are other kinds of love.
