In D.C., Vance pulls Hetty out of her meeting and informs her the militia have Callen and Hanna.

Back in the woods, Renko shows Kensi where Callen is. Kensi uses morse code through the laser scope to send a message. Callen is able to use a hidden bobby pin to work on his cuffs. Hanna sees that the choppers are twenty minutes out. Callen is able to uncuff himself and Hanna. Hanna sends back a message that says Maskelyne. The team gets call from Hetty. She explains Maskelyne was a strategist who convinced the Nazi's that a handful of men was an entire division. Eric is able to jam the ELE's radio signals. He says his plan is to make them stumble on their frequency and make them believe an attack is being organized. Hetty asks the Secretary of Defense for a favor. The militia picks up the fake messages as Kensi and Renko open fire. The militia panics and fire into the woods. Callen and Hanna are able to knock out the guard watching them. They meet with Jay and convince him to work for them. Jay tells Tallridge that there are twenty agents nearby. Two fighter jets fly by the woods. Tallridge panics, jumps in a truck and drives off. Callen and Hanna use the distraction to escape the building. They chase after Tallridge and get in front of his vehicle. The open fire and cause Tallridge to crash.

Later, the government forces surround the woods and capture the militia members. Callen tells Jay he spoke to the U.S. Attorney and secured his freedom. Jay says he wants to talk to his mom. Jay says he is happy he is not going to jail. Before Callen hand over his phone, he thanks Jay for saving him.

Hetty tells Vance she figured he knew she would go to the Secretary and spend her political capital to help her team. Hetty says she never lost an agent before Sullivan. Vance tells her she saved two today. Callen tells Hanna that it was stupid to try to rescue him. Callen tells Hanna he did a nice job.
