Later, Chris brings in an endocrinologist specialist to talk to Ashley's family. He says there is nothing wrong with Ashley, but they found internal testes in her. He explains Ashley has always been genetically a male. The parents ask how they can fix Ashley. He says they can perform surgery and remove her penis and testes or let her testes descend naturally and make her into a man. Ashley since their is dance coming up, she wants her penis to be removed.

Gillian tells the staff about the hospital's Bike to Work Day, but they are not interested. Chloe wonders who hates her so much since she is nice. Clowden, Veronica and Chris wonder if Harris is losing it. Clowden tells Veronica she is assigned to work with him. She tells her about a gun shot victim named Ben Shin who might not make it. Harris says he doesn't want Ben to die. Veronica says Ben's family signed a DNR order. Harris says he thinks the man only needs special care. The team meets with Ben's wife Julie and the family. Julie explains Ben is a scholar and was covering the gas station for his dad when he was shot. Harris informs the family that even though the bullet hit Ben's pericaridal sac and punctured his lung, he will get him out alive. Veronica promises they will save Ben. After Veronica examines gets upset, excuses herself, she pukes in the bathroom. Ben's mom comes and says her puking will not last forever. She feels her tummy and congratulates her on being pregnant.

At home, Chloe wonders who put up her picture. Chloe tells Veronica that her brother Ryan had a crush on her. Veronica says since the person needed to use a computer and spell the word whore, Ryan can be eliminated as a suspect. Veronica's mom brings drinks to the girls then realizes Veronica is pregnant. Veronica says some Korean lady told her she was pregnant, which convinces Veronica's mom. Veronica says she is worried about being a single mother living with her parents. Her parents offer to help.

The next day, Petey walks Chloe to work. She invites him to see her friend's band perform, but he says he needs to work.

At hospital, Veronica tells Chris she thinks she can save Ben. Chris reminds her of what they were taught in Iraq which is rule number one, soldiers die, and rule number two, doctors and nurses can't change rule number one.
