In her father's room, the brothers tease Veronica by keeping the medical charts from her. Veronica tells them to behave by the time she comes back. Harris meets with Veronica and reminds her of their pact not to have any more deaths.

Sophia tells Angel that she is not jealous of Dana, but Angel doesn't believe her. Angel is confused to learn that Dana fell off a horse while she wore Louis Vitton shoes. Sophia, Angel and Gillian look at Dana's X-Rays and see she has several old fractures. Sophia asks Dana what happened in the past and if she feels safe at home. Dana says if she suspects domestic abuse, she is obligated to contact the police. Dana thinks that Sonia is trying to get back at her because of Homecoming. Dana tries to get out of bed, but crashes into the ground.

The police arrive and tell Sonia that Dana is not willing to give a statement. Sonia says Dana has been in and out of the ER at another hospital. In her room, Sonia asks Dana why she is protecting Mitch. Dana angrily asks how she likes living in Jersey City. Sonia asks Dana if she recalls when she was fierce and took no prisoners back in high school. Dana remembers the pain when she tripped and fell when she accepted the crown and is reminded of being beaten. Sonia tells Dana she can leave her husband.

Chloe introduces a young patient named Evan to Harris. Harris tells Evan he almost died and at any moment his lungs can seize up. Harris describes a condition called bronchospasm. Harris says he has nothing to worry about since he is never going to let another patient die. Evan tells Chloe he doesn't want bronchospasm and wants his mommy. He says he hates Dr. Scary and wants fireman Petey. Chloe calls up Petey on her phone.

Sonia tells Veronica that she can't believe Dana became a punching bag. They see that Chloe is glowing and figure she is seeing a fireman. Veronica informs her that firemen are just for fun. Mike arrives and tells Veronica he is there to see her father. Veronica tries to talk to Mike, which makes the room awkward. Veronica asks Mike to go someplace to talk. Jim tells him to hear Veronica out. Chris arrives and asks Veronica to talk to him. Mike punches Chris. They fight as the family tries to break it up. Jim says he now realizes they are basically white trash. Veronica stops them momentarily, but they start fighting again. The brawl spills over to the balcony where Harris is. He tells them that they should go back to work. Mike tells Veronica to leave him alone, then leaves.

Chris tells Veronica that he figures Mike found out about them. Veronica says Mike kicked her out. Chris suggests her family get her medical insurance paid up since Jim has a mild brain contraction. He suggests he get examined by neurologist since he has a good chance of having Alzheimer's. He says he is going to put off reporting his condition until she gets the insurance paperwork straight.

Veronica tells her mom and dad that Jim has Alzheimer's, but Jeannie doesn't believe her. Jim admits he has problems remembering things and takes walks at night. Veronica says they have to see a neurologist. Jim tells Jeannie there is no use for pretending and they should seek help.

Gillian sees that Chris is beat up. She says she heard the story that he moved there to be close to Veronica and feels awkward. She says Veronica is a great girl and she is available now. She says even though they had fun last night, there are no obligations.

Chloe tells Evan and his parents he will be able to go home soon. Petey arrives and tells Evan that since he was so brave, they will make him an honorary fireman.

Sonia tells Dana her husband is there and she doesn't have to see him. Dana says she wants to tell Mitch it is over. Sonia warns her that guys like Mitch are manipulators, but Dana says she can handle him herself. Sonia opens the door and lets Mitch in the room.

Veronica looks for her dad, but he is not in his room. She asks Sonia to call security. They hear a scream and see Mitch exit Dana's room with a flower card holder jammed in his neck. After he collapses, Harris runs in, puts him on a gurney and wheels him to surgery.

Mike drives Veronica while they search for Jim. Mike says he is angry but worried about her. Veronica admits she messed up, but hopes they get to a good place in the end. Veronica reminisces about their time when they were young. Mike says it is great they are both cheaters and now they are even. Mike suggests they stop killing each other, sell the house and separate.
