The Flanagan family wonders whether or not they should start their son's birthday party without Veronica. Ryan says he blames Chris for Veronica and Mike breaking up.

In his aparment, Chris has sex with Gillian. Afterwards, she says she is late for work since she traded shifts.

Veronica tells Sonia she doesn't want to go to the party since her family hates her and they love Mike. She says Mike hasn't been returning her calls. At the bar, the family toasts to Mike as Veronica arrives. Veronica's dad Jim precariously stands on a chair before he proposes a toast. After he takes a sip, Veronica's dad stumbles and falls on the birthday cake. Veronica asks someone to call for an ambulance.

The next day Angel asks Chloe about Petey. She says she had a crazy night with him, but she knows it is not serious. Angel points out that Petey is at the hospital. Angel explains that when a kid gets picked up during a fire call, someone has to ride along with him to make sure he is calm. Angel asks how her night was and Chloe compares it to making love to America. Later, Chloe makes out with Petey. She is upset her break is almost over. Petey puts his number in Chloe's phone and tells her the ball is in her court.
