The next day, Sonia pushes through a crowd of cops to get into the hospital. Doctor Gillian tells Sonia that the cops are there because several officers were killed during a crack house raid. Sonia tries to call Valentino, but he doesn't answer. Veronica informs Sonia that the police are withholding the names of the victims until their next of kin are informed. Veronica tells Sonia that although she is in love with Valentino she should focus on the people who need her in the hospital.

Veronica enters Lucy's room and finds her on the floor with her IV out. Veronica puts her back in bed and tells her to be there for her kids. Lucy asks her to let her die.

Joey finds Sonia in the hospital church. He tells her that Chris told him that he doesn't know if Estelle will have long term problems. Joey says he is upset that the last thing he told his wife was that it is time to trade her in for a new model. Sonia says Estelle probably took it as a way of him telling her he loves her. Sonia says she told the person she loved she might move on.

Veronica tells Harris that she has been looking for him. She tells him that Lucy is feeling sick and giving up. Harris says that it is a normal course of treatment that they can't stop. Veronica asks him to do something. They meet with Lucy who is in pain. Harris tells Lucy he hates cancer. He tells her it is now on her to bravely fight her disease. He explains that in oncology they call the day when she gets her bone marrow her birthday since she will be given another chance. Harris promises he will not let her die and instructs Veronica to administer the bone marrow.

Sands finds Chloe outside and asks where Veronica is. Chloe suggests to Chris not to go after Veronica. She tells him that Veronica is totally committed to Mike, but he doesn't believe it. She suggests he let go because it might feel good. Chris gets a call and meets with Estelle. He sees that her hand is moving and asks her if she knows where she is, but she doesn't respond. Joey asks Estelle to say something. She tells him not to look at her because she has no makeup on. Joey tells her she is beautiful, then gives her a kiss.

Veronica tells Sonia that she is tired of being scared of telling Mike the truth. Veronica asks Sonia to let her know when Valentino gets a hold of her.

Veronica's family tailgates outside of Giants stadium. One of the kids mistakenly asks Mike if she can have a dessert liason like Veronica did. Mike realizes that Veronica had an affair. Veronica arrives and sees that Mike knows the truth. He asks Veronica if she had an affair and she admits she did, but was just about to tell him. Mike tells Veronica not to come home then drives off.

After Sonia gets a call she runs outside to meet Valentino. She tells him she thought he was dead. Valentino says his partner took a bullet to the neck then died. He explains he was debriefed and offered to break the news to his partner's wife. Before he starts to cry, he says he wanted to call her, but he thought he would lose it if he heard her voice. Sonia hugs and comforts him.

Veronica gives Lucy a present and wishes her happy birthday. Chris visits Estelle and Joey and sees they are celebrating their anniversary. Joey gives him a meal to thank him. Chris says he has been chasing after someone, but she has been declining him. Estelle tells Chris to hang in there. Joey says when he met Estelle, everything was easy.

Chris sees Veronica in the supply closet, considers talking to her, but instead leaves. Gillian meets him in the elevator and says his meal sounds delicious. He offers to have dinner with her. Meanwhile, Veronica and Harris have drinks together and talk about their situations.
