After the fire department call, Chloe has lunch with Ryan and Pete. She asks Ryan if he is looking forward to being an uncle. Chloe accidentally informs him that Veronica had an affair. Ryan says he can't believe Veronica cheated on Mike.

Meanwhile, Veronica finds that Mike made her a sandwich with a smiley face on it. Sands asks Veronica if she is trying to get pregnant and she admits she is. Sands tells her good luck on that. Angel informs Veronica that Carrie and Gillian want to see her. Gillian says they need to perform an emergency C-Section. Later in the OR, the baby is removed and put on a table. After the baby starts to cry, they bring him to the ICU. The doctors see that Carrie is still bleeding from the accident and work to stop it.

Sonia goes to Trevor's room and discovers he escaped. They follow a trail of bungee cords to the balcony and find him crawling on the top of a ledge. Angel screams like a woman which wakes Trevor up. Sonia pulls Trevor to safety.

Gillian tells Veronica that they can't stop Carrie's bleeding and might have to perform a hysterectomy. Veronica suggests that Sands works on Carrie. Veronica tells Sands that Carrie's option is either a hysterectomy or death if he doesn't perform an embolization. Clowden tells Veronica it is almost time for her hearing, but she says she wants to work on Carrie.

Just before Trevor goes home to live with his mom, Sonia gets an idea and tells him to wait. Sonia brings Valentino's dog to Trevor and explains she barks everytime someone makes a move. Trevor says even though he hates dogs, he will make an exception so he can stay in his own apartment.

Harris tells Mr. Hammecher that Veronica is 15 minutes late. Meanwhile, Veronica tells Carrie that they didn't perform the hysterectomy. She brings her baby and says he is perfect, but a little small. Gillian congratulates her on her work. Outside the room, Sands tells her she has a hearing to go to. Veronica says she doesn't want to go. Sands tells her the job should be important to her. Veronica says she wants to keep the job. She admits she was the one who threw the cinder block through Harris's windshield. Sands advises she play nice and apologize at the hearing. Veronica arrives in the room to meet with Harris, Clowden and Hammecher.

During the ride back, Chloe tries to convince Ryan not to tell Mike about Veronica's affair. He says it is too big of a secret. They get a call for an assault case. After they enter the house, Ryan and Pete see that a woman is having difficulty breathing after she was hit on her head. Chloe looks at the pictures and realizes that they are at Harris's house. After they load Harris's wife into the ambulance, Chloe tries to get a hold of Harris at the hospital. She directs the ambulance to go to Mercy.

At the hearing, Veronica apologizes and admits she put a cinder block through his windshield. Harris says he wants Veronica off his floor. He tells the board that Veronica endangers his patients. Veronica exclaims that Harris doesn't have any idea of what she does. Veronica says she wants to go home and will wait to hear their decision. Angel arrives and tells Harris he is wanted at the ER. He goes and finds his wife's heart not beating. He asks Veronica to use the defibrillator, but it doesn't work. Chloe tells him she has been down for 12 minutes. After a few attempts, Harris tells the nurses to stop and calls her time of death.

Later, Veronica sits down with Harris after he talks to the police. He tells her that the police suspect a man who broke into people's houses to get drug money. Harris says he is not sure what to do now. Veronica asks what he thinks his wife would like him to do. Harris says she would like to go back home to her family. Veronica suggests to call the Russian consulate, but he says not yet. She holds his hand to comfort him.
