At school, a friend of Ariel tells her that she is going to write a story about her liking a boy named Chad Colburn. Ariel looks at the paper and imagines seeing Jamie dying from an accident. She looks again and the story is replaced with one about the football team.

At night, Allison tells Joe that she knows that Troy didn't rob the bank on his own free will and can't wait until everyone else knows it. Later, Lee calls Allison and tells her that they found Jesse's trailer and it looks like Bombs R' Us. He admits to the possibility that Troy was a patsy. He says that there was a explosion in the trailer and they have to look for body parts in order to write a death certificate.

Allison dreams about Patrick working on Troy's bomb in the bank. He asks Troy why he has a set of keys and he says they are for the safe deposit boxes. Patrick asks him to hand over the keys. Patrick instructs Troy to stay perfectly still until he gets back. Troy goes to the safe deposit room and puts the cash that Troy got inside of a box. Patrick returns to Troy and tells him he has everything under control. Allison wakes up from her dream.

The next day, Allison tells Manny she thinks Patrick strapped the bomb on Troy. She says she suspects Patrick knew that he was going to be called to the scene. Lee says they found a similar bomb vest in Reeder's trailer. Manny explains that Patrick is considered a hero and will get a medal later. Allison gives Manny serial numbers for a safe deposit box and asks him to open them.

At school, Ariel tells Jamie not to ride with her mom anymore. Jamie says her mom is great, but Ariel says she has a problem. Ariel suggests they walk together until they get their license. Ariel asks her to call her mom and tell her not to pick them up.

Later, Lee informs Allison that a woman opened the safe deposit box earlier that morning and emptied it out. He says that the woman who reserved the box gave a fake name. He says he reviewed the surveillance tapes and can't get a good look of the woman. He tells her since they can't get a name on the woman, they can't do anything. Joe tells Allison he has good news and bad news. He says the the check the insurance company wrote won't cover the repairs for the car. Allison says she loves the car since a few days after her dad gave it to her, he died.

Allison has a dream of the woman when she rented the safe deposit boxes. Patrick tells the woman she was supposed to take a taxi since there are surveillance cameras outside the bank. The woman explains that she tested the fake credit cards at a car rental place and rented a car. She drops a CD between the seats and tells Patrick that if their plan works, she can buy all the music she wants. Allison realizes the woman rented the same car she has now. Allison goes to the car, finds the CD and looks up the address that the woman looked up. In the morning, Patrick and his accomplice are arrested. Allison tells Joe that Ariel took the girls to school. Meanwhile, Ariel picks up Jamie at her house and explains Allison called the rental company and bought the car.
