In the morning while the kids watch Night of the Living Dead, Marie gets scared and returns to the dining room. Ariel screams at Bridgette and demands she get her teacher's tarantula out of the bathroom. Bridgette explains that the spider, Miss Scarlet, does better in humid conditions.

Lee calls Allison and tells her they have a situation. They meet with a woman named Bobbi who is the daughter of an undertaker. Lee assures her they are doing everything they can to find her father. Bobbi says her father rarely takes time off. Lee asks if her father, Carl, had any enemies. Bobbie informs them that Carl was a pillar of the community. She says Carl confronted drug dealers who moved into the neighborhood.

Bridgette tries to convince Marie to take a picture of Miss Scarlet while she climbs on Ariel's toothbrush. She describes her plan to show the picture to Ariel after she brushes her teeth. Marie says Miss Scarlet is asleep, but Bridgette realizes she is dead. Later, Allison tells Bridgette that her teacher is not mad at her. Allison suggests to Joe they should just flush Miss Scarlet since Bridgette's teacher doesn't want it back.

Allison goes to sleep and imagines she is in the Night of the Living Dead. Allison says she doesn't like what the black and white does to her skin. Vincent Price, who plays Johnny, calls Allison by the name Barbara and tells her the people are coming to get her. A zombie grabs Allison, but she is saved by Johnny. The zombie smashes Johnny's head into a gravestone where he dies. While Allison runs toward a house, she pushes past a zombie. After the zombie breaks through the door and grabs her, Allison wakes up. She tells Joe she just had a nightmare, but he notices she has scratches on her arm.

In the morning, Joe explains to Allison she probably scratched herself while she was dreaming. Later, Lee and Allison go to the graveyard and discover Carl's body. Lee suspects Carl died after he hit his head on the gravestone during a robbery. Allison sees a man limping through the grounds. After she gets close, blood spills out of the man's mouth just before he collapses.

At school, Bridgette screams after she imagines Miss Scarlet crawl towards her on the table. The other classmates giggle at her outburst. After Joe picks Bridgette up, she tells her dad that she thinks Miss Scarlet is mad at her since she gave her some candy.

At the hospital, Lee says the man, Kripke, had an overdose of a drug called 'wet' which is a cigarette dipped in chemicals. He informs Allison that they found Carl's watch in the box where Kripke slept. He suspects Kripke killed Carl.
