Joe meets with a young owner of a company, Keith, who is not paying attention to him because he is snacking on candy. As he tells him about his credentials, the owner looks at his computer and assures Joe he is still paying attention. Later, Drew calls Joe and informs him that Keith loved him.

Joe calls Allison says he thought Keith hated him, but learned Keith offered him a job even before he got into his car. Allison drives and sees various symbols replacing letters on the street signs. She looks at her vehicle gauges and sees them replaced as well. She pulls over at a strip mall and notices the only thing normal is a book store. She enters and finds the man she saw in her dream giving a reading for his true crime book, The Libra Slayer. As she asks Lance, the author, for a signature, Allison asks the him about the symbols on the victims. Lance says John admitted he was the killer on his death bed. Allison says she knows what really happened. She thinks the Libra Slayer is back.

Allison tells Manny she saw John deny he was the killer. She states she looked at the evidence and saw signs John was not at some of the murder scenes. Manny says the Libra Slayer likes to take credit, but in these recent cases he is not leaving them any clues. Allison suspects the killer didn't have time to leave his mark. Manny gets a text that says the recent killer was left handed which is different from the Libra Slayer.

At home, Joe gives Allison the note she wrote for Marie. She sees that it is full of symbols.

Allison has a dream about the mugging. She sees the man struggle, then he is shot. Allison sees the man has a spider web tattoo on his neck after the man pulls off his mask.

Joe goes to work and asks a co-worker who sets the agenda. He says no one does anything until Keith, the owner, asks them to do something.

Allison meets with Neil at the physical therapy ward. Neil says he knows who she is. She informs him he saw the face of the man who shot him eleven years ago. She takes him to the station. Lee instructs him to identify his mugger by his voice. One by one, Lee asks a lineup of men to read lines from a card. Neil closes his eyes and realizes the third man is his mugger. Lee tells Neil they will be able to book the mugger. Neil thanks Allison for the closure.

Later, Joe meets with Keith and finds him laying down on his couch with his phone. Joe tells him he was just hired. Keith tells him that he will see him tomorrow. Joe asks if there are any projects. Keith says he doesn't need anything. He says he prefers to be the only engineer on the projects and he believes collaboration might be distracting. Joe asks him why he was hired. Keith says his corporation gives him a budget which he has to use or lose. He tells him that he is free to work on anything he wants.
