Olivia and Elliot ask Dalton if he had a relationship with Audrey. Dalton says that he has never seen her ever before. Elliot tells Warner that he doesn't like Dalton's explanation. He asks her to check if Dalton was the one who had sex with Audrey.

Dalton is willing to answer and take all the detectives' questions and tests. Olivia tells him that his hammer from his toolbox is missing. Dalton is brought to the hospital. Olivia and Elliot ask him if he was drinking or doing drugs and he says that he doesn't do either.

Back in the Dalton's apartment, Fin and Munch find bloody towels and a hammer washed clean in the shower. Dalton says that he doesn't remember much of last night. He says that he has a partner in the development business. He informs the detectives that they held a cocktail mixer for some of his investors. Dalton says that he wasn't partying.

Kragen meets with Dalton's partner, Bill. He tells Kragen that Dalton was nervous and sweaty during the party. He explains that since the investors were already in the hole, they were trying to convince them to fund the completion of a building project. Bill says that Dalton took off before they were supposed to give a presentation.

Munch and Fin find a bag of clothes and belongings on the rooftop connected to Dalton's apartment building. Fin discovers the victim was a doctor at an abortion clinic.

Olivia and Elliot meet with Audrey's ex-husband, Michael. He says that their divorce was finalized a few months ago. He says that he was afraid for his daughter's safety since they received death threats. Olivia asks if they have any connection with Dalton or his company. Michael says that he doesn't, but wonders if he was an anti-abortion fanatic.

Fin and Munch question Dalton. He insists that he is not a religious fanatic. Dalton suspects that one of his investors might of set him up since they were angry at him for losing their money. The detectives ask him if he has an opinion on abortion and he says that he doesn't have one.

Elliot and Olivia go to the clinic where Audrey worked. They are met with a protester who works for a non-profit called Save and Deliver. They ask her if they know who killed Audrey. She says that her organization doesn't condone murder, but sees Audrey's death as a blessing.

Elliot and Olivia talk to the head doctor of the clinic, Kittle. He says that the woman outside is harmless. Kittle explains that they installed bulletproof glass because a sniper shot at a receptionist. They hear something hit the windows and discover that eggs were thrown at it. The woman outside tells Elliot that a couple of kids threw the eggs. Olivia brings a box of hate mail to her car. She says that Audrey had dinner with a friend last night.

They go to the home of Linda Peters, Audrey's friend. She tells them that she took Audrey to a bar where they met a white guy who took a liking to Audrey. Linda finds a receipt for the bar and gives it to them. Linda says that she left the Audrey with the guy who had a name of a bookstore. Elliot realizes that the man was Dalton.

Elliot drives Dalton to the bar that Linda said she went to with Audrey. Olivia leaves the car to talk to the employees. Elliot asks Dalton if he is sure he wasn't there. Dalton shows Elliot his one-year sobriety chip. Dalton walks in the bar to use the bathroom. The bartender recognizes Dalton and says that he was drinking heavily last night. Dalton asks what is going on. The bartender tells Dalton that he left with Audrey. Dalton grabs the bartender and says that he is lying. Dalton says that he is going to be sick and runs into the bathroom. Elliot gets a call with poor reception, so he goes to the front. He learns that the bloody prints and semen samples match Dalton. Elliot returns to the bathroom and realizes that Dalton escaped.
