At the station, Ashok says he is on a special operation ordered by the mayor. He shares his suspicious that Anne killed her parents since her trust fund ran out and she is the sole heir to her parent's fortune. In his office, Ashok briefs the detectives about Anne's biography in which she failed at normal jobs. He shows them Anne's record of embezzlement in which she stole money from a charity called the Prestwick Foundation by setting up fake businesses. Ashok figures Anne killed her parents after they refused to give her more money. Prestwick and Chief Muldrew orders Ashok to suspend his investigation. Prestwick informs Ashok that a donor heard about the lost money and decided to cover their losses. Muldrew orders his men to take back all of Prestwick's files. Since the embezzlement case is closed, Olivia suggests Ashok work with them as he poses as an arrested stalker.

While Ashok sits in the interrogation room, Olivia tells Anne that she can help by answering questions. Olivia tells Anne they don't have enough evidence to tie Ashok to her parent's murder. Anne suggests she talk to her parent's business manager Nate Hartman. Ashok figures Nate was capable of helping Anne set up the fake businesses.

Ashok and Elliot meet with Nate at his house. Ashok tells Nate that Anne is going to phone him and ask him to lie for her. As the phone rings, the detectives tell him he is going to jail unless he cooperates. After Nate puts Anne on speaker phone, she tries to convince Nate to tell the police he saw Ashok at her parent's house.

At the station, Nate confesses he set up fake accounts for Anne. Cragen tells Olivia and Elliot they don't have enough to charge Anne for murder, but they can get her on witness tampering and release it to the press.

Ashok, Elliot and Olivia arrest Anne after the funeral service. Huang suggests they make Anne feel comfortable. Mulgrew confronts Cragen for having his detectives arrest Anne. Cragen explains the murder case is still open, but Mulgrew says he knows they arrested her for witness tampering. Huang tells Mulgrew Anne is a dangerous psychopath. Mulgrew tells Elliot to find the evidence or he will not back them.

After Elliot, Olivia and Ashok enter Anne's interrogation room, she insists she only speak to Ashok. After Ashok introduces herself, Anne says she knows his mother from London. Anne tells Ashok she thinks of them as two of kind, which is rich prodigal children. Anne insists she was only tired of waiting for her money and didn't want her parents dead. Anne tells him she thinks he will run back home.

Anne's lawyer, Yancy Winthrom, comes in to talk to her client. Ashok tells Elliot is not worth booking Anne for witness tampering, but if they get Nigel Prestwick to cooperate, they can charge her with embezzlement. Ashok explains Prestwick expenses his personal habits to his foundation. After Ashok rattles off the organizations Prestwick belongs to, Olivia recognizes one of them.

Olivia meets with Nigel at his office. She tells him she knows men have needs that have to be fulfilled somewhere outside their homes. She orders him to get on his knees and lick her boots as Ashok photographs him. Olivia informs Nigel they arrested two sadists from one of the societies he belong to and have video evidence he might be in. Nigel agrees to hand over his records so the police can use it against Anne.
