Claire puts Tracy in a warm bath. Claire goes to the kitchen to grab some hot tea. After Tracy closes her eyes, the water starts to freeze over. She gets out and tells Claire she can't stop what she is doing. Claire touches Tracy and starts to freeze until she is solid.

Peter goes to the address which is a storage company. He goes to the locker number found in the back of the card Rene gave to him and finds a coffin like box. Peter opens it and sees that it contains his body. Peter wonders if the body belongs to a shape shifter. Nathan touches the body and sees bits and pieces of Sylar and Matt. Nathan and Peter figure they should talk to Matt to find out what really happened.

As Tracy drags Claire's body to the bathroom, her foot comes off. Claire defrosts and explains she heals. Back in his office, Nathan says he doesn't know himself. Peter tells him not to beat himself up over what happened. Elizabeth arrives and informs Nathan that Matt tried to commit suicide by cop and is at the hospital. Peter says he might be able to heal Matt with his new power.

Back at the carnival, Samuel tells Hiro he has faith in his abilities. Hiro concentrates in an attempt to go back in time.

In India, Mohinder constructs a device his father built in the past. In the morning, Mira wakes up and finds him at his desk. Mohinder explains he made a compass he can use to find a child. He says if the child from the film surrounds himself by enough specials, he can become the most powerful being. Mira tells him to stop working or she will leave him.

Peter and Noah arrive at the hospital where Matt is cared for. They sneak into his room and see he is comatose. Peter touches his chest and wakes him up. Matt finds he is handcuffed to the bed. Sylar tells Matt that good things go to those who wait. Sylar tells Matt to bring Nathan back so he can recover his body. Matt explains to Nathan that he was killed and he used his power to put his memories in Sylar's body. Sylar takes full control of Matt's body. Sylar apologizes and asks Nathan for his hand. Nathan says what Matt is saying makes sense. Peter tells Matt to back off, but Nathan uses his powers to push him away. A police officer arrives but after Nathan touches Matt, he grabs Peter and flies out the window.

Mohinder follows the compass and meets with Joseph Sullivan. Joseph brings Mohinder to Samuel who is drunk in his trailer. Joseph explains that Mohinder is there to write a book about carnies. Joseph suggests Samuel go to the bonfire while he talks to Mohinder.

Back at the hospital, Matt convinces an officer to push him into another room and give him his clothes. Nathan brings Peter to the top of a canyon. He says he is afraid Sylar is going to get into his head like Sylar did. Nathan tells him to leave, but

Joseph tells Mohinder that Samuel has no idea about his true nature of his power. He explains that his mother told him the truth about Samuel. Joseph explains that he kept the people around Samuel small so his power could be subdued. Mohinder says he knows Samuel's power can be increased thousand fold. Joseph suspects that Samuel has a feeling about his power. Joseph instructs Mohinder to burn the film and return home to India. After Mohinder leaves the trailer, Samuel is around the corner after he overheard everything.

From his hotel room, Mohinder calls Mira and says he made a mistake when he opened his father's box. He says he will return home soon. Mohinder takes his father's film, puts it over a lighter fluid soaked pile of garbage and tosses a match. As the match falls, Hiro appears, stops time and switches the film. He advises Mohinder to be careful even though he is still frozen.
