At the carnival, Sylar unconsciously changes into Nathan just before he wakes up. He exits his trailer and flies away after he hears Samuel tell Lydia that he has to clean up a mess.

Gretchen tells Claire that she can't figure out why Beck wants her dead. Claire plans to go to the sorority house to find out what Becky wants. Gretchen is afraid that Becky might be in the room waiting to kill her. Claire gets an idea to shoot baby powder in the air to see if she is there. Claire instructs Gretchen to lock the door while she is away.

Back at the hospital, Emma helps the staff as they have a flood of victims from the train accident. A doctor asks Emma if she can apply pressure on a patient's wound while she tends to others. Emma decides to stitch the woman's wound herself while Peter watches. Peter uses his power to help someone who is burned.

Claire enters the sorority house and asks several girls if they have seen Becky. The girls don't remember that Becky sent the recruits on a scavenger hunt. She notices that Noah and Rene the Haitian are there and realizes they wiped the the girls' memory clean.

After he is released from the airport, Sylar rents a car to drive to New York. As he drives, he gets a flat tire. While he tries to fix the flat, a tow truck driver pulls over to give him a hand. Matt uses his power to trip Sylar as he goes to grab the tire iron. Sylar uses the tire iron to beat the driver to death and informs Matt that since he is in his body, he is the one who killed him.
