Callie sees that Arizona is upset. She asks Callie to tell her she is great and explains she has doubts that she can save Wallace. Callie encourages her before Arizona meets with Wallace. Wallace tells Arizona that he thinks he has been there too long. He says he knows other patients who were in the hospital for a shorter time died. Arizona operates on Wallace. She tells Charles and Webb that she doesn't think the surgery is a good idea. Later at home, Arizona tells Callie that even tough Wallace is fine she needed her for support. Hunt walks in and tells the doctors that Cristina performed an unnecessary and dangerous thoracotomy. After Hunt leaves, Arizona gets a page that Wallace is crashing. In the OR, Webb asks Arizona if he can help, but she refuses.

Later, Arizona informs Webb that Wallace didn't make it. Arizona tells Charles that she wants Webb to tell Wallace's parents because she thinks she killed their son. Cristina tells Meredith that she can't believe Hunt is angry at her. Meredith says Hunt loves her because he doesn't want her career to be ruined.

Bailey finds that Alex slept at the hospital while holding the infant. She tells him that he would be good in peds. Cristina hears Hillary call and ask a friend if she has any drugs for her pain. Cristina grabs the phone and tells the friend that she is going to give her number to the police. Cristina tells Hillary that the only reason she is alive is not because she is smart, but because she is lucky.

After Arizona comes home, the doctors surprise her for her birthday. Arizona starts to cry then leaves. Sloan informs the other doctors he knew the party was a bad idea.

Arizona tells Callie that Wallace died. She says that she can't stay for the party. At the hospital, Arizona returns to Wallace's room and finds his parents packing. Bethany says it doesn't feel real that she lost her son. Arizona asks them if they would like to see their son. Reed tells Alex that she is impressed. Alex tells her that he doesn't know what happened to Izzie and she left him a two hundred thousand dollar medical bill. He says the only thing he knows he can take care of is the baby. Later after Laura recovers, Alex hands over her baby.

Avery tells Cristina that what she did in the OR the other day was hot. Avery admits he is drunk and he is a rule breaker. He gives her a kiss, but Cristina pushes him away and informs him she is involved.

Hunt tells Cristina he can't ignore what happened. Cristina says she knows why she overstepped and asks him to come home with her. Arizona brings Wallace's parents to the morgue. Paul tells Jennings from the hospital board that Arizona is the reason why they are going to still donate the money to the hospital and not because of his a** kissing.

Arizona comes home and wakes Callie. Callie tells her there are still drinks and donuts for her. Arizona tells her she loves her and she says she loves her back.
