The doctors get paged in the middle of the night. They arrive at the hospital and learn there is a 15 year old female patient named Hillary Boyd who fell off her roof and a pregnant woman named Laura Young who got in a car accident. Arizona and Callie see their patients need to go to the OR and fight over who will get the available one. Arizona wins out since she needs to extract the baby. Arizona and Alex remove the baby and sees she had a stroke even before she was born.

Later, Arizona tells the other doctors that while they go on pediatric rounds with her they should consider their patients as imaginative children. She says in peds they have magic and miracles. They enter Hillary's room and see a young boy named Wallace pretending he is a doctor. When they enter Wallace's room, he informs the doctors he is a 10 year old who has short gut syndrome. After Wallace's parents Paul and Bethany enter the room, the doctors learn that Wallace's birthday is coming up. Paul tells Arizona that he would like her to accompany them while they meet with the hospital board. Paul and Bethany tell them that they would like to give the hospital $25 million dollars to find a cure for Wallace's condition and for the hospital.

In Callie's apartment, Arizona tells Callie she didn't know Wallace's parents were that wealthy. Lexie wishes Arizona a happy birthday and Callie is surprised to learn it is coming up. After Arizona leaves, the doctors wonder if they should throw a surprise party, but Sloan discourages them by saying it is a bad idea.

Bailey tells Arizona that her infant patient was born with her inside on the outside. Reed notices as Webb gives Alex the bills for Izzie's medical care. Reed brings Alex some paperwork he needs and asks if he is okay. Alex says he is trying to save a baby and asks her to get out of his face.
