A doctor tries to apologize to Izzie for his co-worker. He introduces himself as Charles Percy. He charms her to tell him her name. She asks for the code to the research room, but she refuses to give it to him.

Bailey tells Callie her dad Carlos is there. He tells Callie he misses talking with her. He says they always worked things out. Callie gives him a hug and apologizes for not calling. She sees Father Kevin there and realizes he is going to try to convert her sexuality. She yells at Carlos that he can't pray away the gay.

Later, Callie complains to Arizona about her father. Arizona suggests she talk to him. Callie asks if she expected understanding when she came out to her family. Arizona explains she never had a boyfriend. Arizona asks Callie to cut her dad some slack since he only recently found out she was gay.

A doctor named Keptner conducts rounds with Lexie. They visit a patient who has a police guard. They see that he hurt his back.

Izzie and the doctors visit a patient named Sarah. Izzie explains that Sarah has renal disease. Bailey asks a question that Charlie quickly answers. He looks around and sees that the doctors raise their hands.

Izzie shows Charles around. He discovers she is a cancer patient. Charles admits he has a crush on Reed, but she ignores him. Izzie wonders why he likes her. Charles says he loves her. Izzie gives him the code to the research library.

The hospital HR manager gives Webber the speech to use when he fires people. She tells Webber that a doctor he fired via email is now suing because she claims she was let go because she was pregnant. She orders Webber to use the speech.

Lexie briefs Derek and Keptner about the patient and suggests a treatment for his back. Keptner suggests another procedure which Derek likes.

In the ER, Cristina treats two men who got in a fight. One of the men's girlfriend arrives and comforts him. The other man realizes that his young daughter is there, grabs a hammer and tries to attack the man. Jackson tackles the man and receives a round of applause.

Hunt commends Jackson on the tackle. He says he played football. The boyfriend asks Cristina if he can thank Jackson since he saved his life. Cristina says she saved his life.

Alex and another doctor named Reed argue over a patient. Reed learns Alex stole some lab results from her. He goes to take care of a patient.
