Alex wakes up and finds that none of the plumbing in the mobile home is working. He goes outside, sees a bear and screams. At the hospital, he tells Izzie about his experience and says that they need to move. He suggests they move back with Meredith. Izzie says that since they are married, they should live together by themselves. She tells him that she can't move backward.

Webber announces to the staff that he doesn't have answers. He says that the Mercy West staff will be arriving soon and afterwards, there will be more cutbacks and lay offs. The staff bombards Webber with questions.

Meredith tells Cristina that a patient died. Cristina says that she needs surgeries so she won't get fired. She goes around to search for something to do. Meredith says that she is going to scrub in for surgery with Derek.

Lexie runs into her dad Thatcher who is disoriented. He says that he hasn't been drinking, then coughs up blood. Bailey arrives to examine the patient. Bailey says that there are too many people there as they crowd around Thatcher.
