Serena asks Blair if she wants to get a cup of coffee,but Blair says no. Blair expects an apology, but Serena thinks Blair is the one who needs to apologize. Blair points out that Serena isn't on the guest list for Nate's party, but Serena says she is going with Patrick, who is on the list. Serena tells Blair that she has no friends, then leaves.

Nate and Trip walk and talk. Nate tells Trip to ask their grandfather for help, but Trip says he wants to keep his campaign clean. They then hear someone screaming from the water. Trip dives in and saves the drowning person. Vanessa catches footage of the rescue, which makes it to the local news. Back at the campaign headquarters, Nate's grandfather is excited about the poll results. Serena arrives and asks Nate why he hasn't called her back. She asks him to put her and Patrick on her guest list. She says she thinks they are even after he used her. Tripp sees Serena and asks if she is going to be at the party. Serena says absolutely and leaves.

Blair meets with her followers who try to figure out who Blair's friends are. Blair notices someone has an early release of a designer handbag. Blair approaches the woman and complements her purse. The two exchange fashion likes and Blair invites her to go to Nate's party.

Olivia and Dan play Scrabble with Dan's family. Jenny, who is sick, mentions that she has been laying around watching TV and the internet.

Vanessa goes over her footage and realizes that the drowning victim actually jumped into the Hudson. Vanessa meets with Nate and tells him about the footage. She tells him the rescue was set up. Nate asks if she told anyone and Vanessa says she already agreed to sell the footage. He asks her to wait, but she says she can't be involved in a cover-up. Vanessa asks if she should be the one to tell Trip, but Nate says he will do it.

Serena meets with Patrick and tells him they are going to a political party. She tries to get him to put down his bottle, but he continues to drink. After getting dressed, they head to the party. Serena sees Blair with her new friend Brandise. Serena tells her that she is thrilled with her new boyfriend. Blair looks over and sees Patrick urinating in a plant.

Dan finally sees footage of Olivia's Fallon interview. He takes off and Rufus wonders why Dan left the game. Jenny sees her computer is missing and Olivia chases after him. Jenny and Olivia watch the interview and Olivia thinks Dan hates her for talking about their first date. She calls Dan and leaves a message that she is sorry.
