After work, Aaron finds Mark waiting for him. He says he thinks he deserved to learn the truth about his daughter. He says it is not possible for him to find his daughter since he was with her in the humvee. He remembers when they were chasing after a suspect in Iraq. He remembers when the suspects got out of their car and shot and fired a RPG that blew up the vehicle that Tracy was in. He says when he saw her die, he ran.

Back at the club, several people volunteer to be tortured. After an alarm sounds, the crowd chants Raynaud as a man with blue hands approaches them. The woman explains that the blue hands represent a surrender to the inevitable. He pulls out a revolver, puts it to his neck, but before he can shoot, Mark tackles him. The man says he wants it to end, but Mark tells him not yet.

They bring the man to the FBI building and see that the man's real name is Jeff Slingerman who taught history. Jeff explains he finds the Raynauds by using the Mosaic website. Jeff says that what they have seen is going to happen. Al asks if he is still alive after April 29. Jeff says that they can't hide from what is coming.

Al asks Fiona if she has ever tried dirty rice. He explains it is a cajun dish and invites her to dinner. Fiona says she is still tired from her flight. Al asks Fiona what will happen if she covers the window. She says she figures the bird will crash into a different one. He suggests it is worth a shot.

Mark posts more evidence on his board. Demetri says he is glad that he knows the exact date of his murder since he is able to prepare. Mark tells him that he should deal with it by fighting. Demetri says that everything they saw is coming true. He figures there is nothing they can do to escape their fate.

Mark goes home and watches television with his family. Olivia says she wants to go to bed. Charlie wonders if Mark is sad.

Meanwhile, Al cooks up dirty rice for himself. He remembers feeling guilty during his flashforward. Demetri brings Zoey some dessert, but she says she is not hungry. He tells her he loves her. He explains he only saw darkness during his flashforward and believes he is going to die. He says he met with other people like him who were waiting to die. He says he doesn't want to be like that and wants to be with her. Zoey says she saw them at the beach during their wedding. Zoey suggests he made a mistake. Zoey says they can have the life they want. She says they have two conflicting visions and she wants to hope. Demetri tells her she is right, then gives her a hug.

At work, Aaron meets with Mike. Aaron says he has tortured himself for the last few weeks and he finally brought him peace. He tells him that he is going to return the favor by giving him a job.

At his place, Nicole compliments Bryce's art work. He says he remembers brief images of the Japanese woman, but doesn't completely remember her. Nicole tells him to find her and suggests he put his story on the Mosaic.

Al goes to work and leaves a card for Demetri. As he passes Demetri he tells him that he needs to get what he left on his desk to the right hands. In the briefing room, Demetri opens the envelope and sees a letter addressed to Celia along with a post it note saying that there is always a way out. He reads the letter. Al remembers learning that Celia was taken off life support and her kids were to be put into foster homes. Demetri reads the letter and figures Al is going to kill himself. The team finds Al on the ledge of the rooftop. Al says he doesn't know how he is going to hurt Celia. He says that if he doesn't hurt Celia, it means they can change things. Al explains he found a way to change the game. Al leaps off the building and dies after he hits the ground.

On the ground, Demetri rereads the letter to Celia which says their paths are meant to cross, but things are going to change now. Al says his gift to her is to release her from the feeling of dread and that she is still in control.

Aaron comes home and sees his daughter waiting for him.
