Boyd shows Paul blueprints of Daniel's house. Adele plays them video of a man attacking Millie. After Millie is activated, she quickly kills the man.

Cindy comforts Millie while she looks over photos of her past life. Millie wonders if there is a monster inside her. She explains for the rest of her life she will know she killed someone. Cindy tells her that the Dollhouse forced her to kill and she will testify against them. Daniel calls Cindy and tells her that he is going to work late.

Topher puts together a device and explains it will disrupt the chips in the actives brain. He brings in Kilo, activates the disrupter and causes Kilo to collapse. Adele tells Paul that the device will also affect Millie.

Boyd tells Echo that it is time for her treatment. Boyd is worried that Paul will not be happy that they are sending out Echo without him.

In his hotel, Daniel tries to find funding linked to Rossum. After taking a drink, he becomes dizzy then blacks out. He wakes up and sees Echo recording him in bed. Daniel tells Echo that he has never seen her in his life. Echo says she can show him a instant replay of what they did. Daniel figures that he was drugged and Rossum sent her. As Echo tries to leave, Daniel looks at her and figures she is a doll. He tells her they are leaving to see his wife.

As Paul waits outside of Daniel's house, he calls Boyd and tells him to disable the security cameras. Daniel drives Echo to his house and explains that she is not herself. He figures Rossum forced her to become a slave. He says he has to stop Rossum or no one will. Daniel tells Echo she is evidence and that his wife knows neurologists who can help her.

Paul grabs Millie in the house and asks him to leave with him. Cindy sees Paul and orders him to get away. Paul turns on the disrupter and sees that it is not affecting Cindy. Meanwhile, Daniel, Echo and Millie collapse in pain. After body guards tackle Paul, Cindy turns off the machine.

Back at the lab, the team figures that Cindy is Daniel's handler. They see video showing Echo kidnapping Daniel. As she drives Daniel, Echo has flashbacks of her past lives. She tells Daniel that everything he said is true. She realizes that she is a doll.

Back at the house, Cindy tells Paul that Adele had instructions to leave Daniel alone. Cindy instructs her men to kill Paul after she leaves.

After Daniel remembers his past life, Echo figures he is a doll. Topher tells Adele that Daniel is a doll of himself. He explains that Daniel was a young screw up, but he later changed.

Meanwhile, although his hands are tied, Paul beats up the guards watching him then escapes.

Echo calls Adele and asks what they did to Daniel. She explains that the Senator looks like a basketcase. Adele says she can help Daniel with a treatment. Daniel takes the phone and says he is not a doll. Adele informs him that someone is controlling him and she can help him figure it out. Cindy pulls up to Daniel. Echo tells Daniel that Cindy is not right. Daniel tells Cindy he doesn't know what is going on. Daniel remembers when Cindy was with him when he was programmed. Cindy pulls out a gun and tells Daniel she will shoot Echo. After getting pistol whipped by Cindy, Echo recalls being a fighter. Cindy tries to convince Daniel that he loves her, but Echo takes her down. After Cindy shoots at her, Echo beats her up. Echo tells Daniel that Cindy is not his wife, then takes him away. After Millie sees Paul at the airport, she asks him who she was. Paul explains he was investigating the Dollhouse with her help. He says he started working with the Dollhouse in exchange for her freedom. Millie asks him to testify, but he says it is a trick. Millie asks if she is free to testify, then leaves.

Meanwhile, Cindy uses the disrupter to knock out Echo and Daniel at a parking garage. Paul gets a call from Boyd, but he ignores it.

Adele tells Boyd that Daniel is being set up to create all the laws that will affect Dollhouse.

A woman named Bennett in the D.C. Dollhouse receives a call and says she will take care of Daniel and Echo. Cindy meets with Bennett to discuss how they should deal with Daniel's situation. Cindy gives her the disrupter and she recognizes it as the work of Topher. They wake up Daniel who begs not to have his mind erased. Bennett orders Cindy to make sure the L.A. office didn't follow Daniel. Bennett visits Echo and asks her to play. She turns on her equipment which causes her to violently shake in pain.
