The show jumps back one year. Adelle tells Topher that Sierra's replacement is a mental patient. Topher goes to Nolan's clinic to pick up Sierra, who at the time is Priya. He finds Sierra talking to herself as she pulls at her hair. She tells Topher the doctors are liars. He asks her if she would like to leave. She tells him the clinic is filling her with poison and making her a prisoner. Topher takes her to the Dollhouse where she is strapped down, sedated and given her first treatment.

In the present day, Sierra is given a treatment. She goes to Nolan's house and tells him she is all his. Topher tells Adelle that Sierra is gone. Adelle says if he developed any sense of conscious, in this matter, he didn't have a choice.

At Nolan's house, Sierra asks him if they would like to build up an appetite before dinner. She straddles him, angrily pulls his head back and asks him which fantasy he wants to keep forever. Nolan realizes Sierra has returned to her original personality, Priya.

Boyd returns Echo's book to her. She tries to pretend she doesn't know how to read, but Boyd says he knows she is lying. He says he realizes she is manipulating the Dollhouse. Echo says something bad is going to happen like a storm. She explains she wants to make sure everyone survives it when it happens.

Sierra tells Nolan she is not her lab rat anymore. Nolan says she loved every moment she was with him, but she says she doesn't remember having a good time. Sierra confesses she loves someone else, but doesn't remember him. Nolan slaps Sierra, throws her on the table, slams her in the bookcase, then rips off part of her blouse. Nolan grabs a knife, but Sierra fights back and stabs him several times in the chest.

Topher heads to Nolan's house after he gets a call from Sierra. He discovers his dead body on the floor and Sierra in the closet. Boyd arrives and tells Sierra to pack her things. He tells Topher to grab some supplies from his van. They put Nolan's body in the tub. Boyd orders Topher to cut up the body to make it easier to dispose of. While packing, Sierra finds a drawer full of pictures of herself and throws it in the tub. Topher pours sulfuric acid in the tub and dissolves the body.

Later, Boyd calls Adelle and tells her Nolan planned to leave the country with Sierra, but he left without her. He says they found his car with several IDs near the border. Adelle learns that Sierra is back in the Dollhouse.

Sierra tells Topher she doesn't know what is going on. She tells him he was supposed to help him. Topher says he was fooled and is sorry. Topher brings Sierra a beer. She asks if she is happy in the Dollhouse, but Topher says he has no idea. Sierra sees Victor, says she loves him, and asks if it is real. Topher says it is real and he loves her back. Topher says he should have set her free, but she says she wanted to confront Nolan. Sierra says if he brings her back, she wants him to leave out the memory of Nolan's murder. Topher promises to keep it a secret. Sierra sits in the chair and is implanted with a blank personality.

After Sierra's treatment, Victor takes her hand and walks through the Dollhouse. Meanwhile, Echo finds a keycard from Boyd in her book with a note that says, 'for the storm.'
