Later, the team arrives at the home. They discover the father was in the military as well. In the back, they find a shallow grave with their bodies. They also learn the daughter was suffocated. David explains the murders are happening more often because there was a major psychological break. Derek wonders if the sounds of the airshow practice is provoking the killings.

In prison, Karl says he thinks his admirer will contact him soon. Emily admits his case was the first one she studied. She says she is fascinated and nervously laughs. He tells her he can show her what he did to his child victims. He explains children are precious, clean and need guidance, especially the girls. He says girls have more to lose than boys. He tells her he had to show the girls what men are capable of. He says he was amazed how the fathers accepted death after the rest of the family was killed.

Spencer suspects the killer was born during a conflict. They figure the unsub saw mass graves while living outside of the United States.

Emily asks Karl why he killed the families. Hotch says he knows his motivations were about sex which is different from the current killer. Emily figures he was motivated by his father's teaching. Karl is surprised and flattered by Emily's research on him. Emily tells Karl she believes by killing the father's last, he was killing his own father and himself over and over again. Emily tells Hotch that their current case has to deal with the daughters. Hotch figures the killer is a woman.

Garcia informs the team she found three cases of families killed the same way in Croatia and Europe. Spencer says there was mass graves discovered in Bosnia after the war. They figure the killer is exacting her life experiences on the daughters. Since the victims were no older than 15 victims, they figure the woman was probably in late twenties.

Meanwhile, a woman looks at her mirror and sees herself. She points a gun at the mirror then shoots.

Emily admits she flirted with Karl to get more information. She says she is upset at what she did. Karl tells Hotch he has something to share with him.

The team briefs the police about the unsub. They say she is in her twenties, speaks little or no English and travels by foot. Garcia sees that the victims are connected to the same site called photobug. She calls the team and updates them. They learn that the company outsourced some of the work and after checking, Garcia believes the suspect is named Miranda Dracar. They go to Miranda's house and discovers the house is empty. They find a fax printout about a family they believe are going to be the next victims.

Karl tells he helped them with their investigation. He shows them the letter from his admirer which says 'look at what I have done.' Karl explains his fan already found Hotch.

Derek and the team enter the family house and see the mom and son in the bedroom. Miranda tackles Derek in the bedroom and tries to shoot him. Derek is able to turn the gun on Miranda and shoot her in the abdomen. After the team arrives, Derek says he is fine.

Hotch looks over the Karl's log. Emily wonders what he is doing. He figures Foyet wrote Karl the letter and knew he would go there.
